Your Favourite Girly Chick Flick!

The Sweetest Thing - Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate, Selma Blair. Hilarious, I laughed my head off. But I'm pretty sure it's R-rated.

This is my 'Ultimate' list-

as mentioned already- CLUELESS.

"This is where Dionne lives. She's my friend because we both know what it's like for people to be jealous of us."

such bad jokes and so ditzy...but still so funny!

My Personal Top 10

1. Clueless - I actually think it's incredibly smart, not a bad joke in the whole movie. The Ultimate 90's flick for girls.... It's a remake of "Emma" by Jane Austen actually.
2. Pretty Woman - What can I say? It is sacred.
3. A League of Their Own - Even Madonna was good.
4. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - a beautiful romance, but men will love it too.
5. Bridget Jones' Diary - From beginning to end, a perfect movie. It has become almost too painful for me in its realism.
6. Sister Act - one of my favourite favourite favourite childhood flicks, but my younger brother loves it too!
7. Wimbledon - Paul Bettany and very clever dialogue
8. Two Weeks Notice - Hugh Grant is in it 90% of the time, what more do you want?
9. Mean Girls - Clueless for the 00's; Rachel McAdams is brilliant.
10. Just Married - my brother and I like this one; don't make fun of us!!!

I saw "Pride and Prejudice" with Keira this year and that was marvelous; I just don't know if I'd watch it again and again because it isn't exactly comedic. I feel the same way about "Sense and Sensibility" with Thompson/Winslet/Grant, great film.

These are the only ones I think are worthy of talking about... right now...

Bridget Jones' Diary - I still cringe much of the time because I refuse to believe this character could be anyone in real life, but its still cute. Plus, Colin Firth... "I like you... just the way you are."
America's Sweetheart - - I think I'm the first one to mention this one, but I've always enjoyed watching it. And I have a thing for John Cusack...
Shakespeare In Love - I first rented this movie from the library when I was in 4th grade, and enjoyed it until... I caught sight of Gwyneth Paltrow's boob. I quickly turned off the television and felt like I loss whatever innocence or purity I had in me... almost guilty or ashamed. :D But, a couple years later, (after I grew up a little) I enjoyed it and plus, it opened me up to Shakespeare... BTW, if they left the original scence shown in the special features, I would have detested this film.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - One of those films I didn't think of as a "chick flick." - How can anyone not love this film? Such great writing and performances.

The Notebook
Bridget Jones's Diary
Pride and Prejudice (with Keira Knightley)
Pretty Woman
The English Patient
Four Weddings and a Funeral
Nine Months
Notting Hill

Flashdance
Dirty Dancing (the first one)
