Your first runway show experience

Hey guys I guess some of you must have attended many runway shows but whose was your first?

For me, the first show I’ve ever been to was Bryce d’ Anice Aime A/W 2009 at London Fahion Week. My friend worked for the desinger as a intern therefor I got the invitation to attend the show. It was a great experience, all those anticipation and excitimen . And I actually fell in love with the collection.

My first show was BCBG Max Azria FW07. I live in New York so I just hung out at the Tents during fashion week and was able to go to a few shows in the standing section. Incredibly fun and exciting.

we don't have anything specifically about the first time...

which is an interesting question imo...

unfortunately..i have no memory of attending my first show...
must not have been very good...


what i do remember is the first show i worked on, which was a group show sponsored by cotton or something like that..
to promote the fabric...

all i remember is how crazy it was backstage and how fast it all went!.....

Hopped in my car with my best friend drove 12 hours to NYC, stayed with a friend in ft. greene. Trekked around and shopped around in the rain til the Doo Ri show at the tents. Naively e-mailed her and asked if I could be put on the list a month before. Pretty sure I wasn't on the list when I marched up to the clipboard and gave them my name. They gaves us "R" on the note card. Was even more sure we wouldn't get in as all the standing people were let through, my friend slipped by (she's small) and I raced past and got stopped by security. I shrieked in panic to the PR girls "my associate just went in, I need to be with her!!!". They grabbed me by the arm, raced me into the show, and due to some odd seating arrangements and no shows we sat second row! Not bad considering I had no idea what I was doing.

My first fashion show was alena akhmadullina FW 09 on tuesday. I didn't like it.

But next season I'm sure I'll get to attend more interesting shows, that was just a first experience !

I went to my old home towns fashion week (winter park, florida) and it was actually really impressive but I dont really have much to speak of other than student shows which are actually really interesting. All you guys are so lucky.

based on what i saw here it seems sneaking into a show is not that hard
i should try to do it too next time
