I really thought about getting the green one, but it seems too obvious to me. I can't really explain it, but I'd rather have a nice classic black bag.

Ya it's too obvious. Bags like that and the Mukarami one from Vuitton were the obvious ones for Spring. But there were also other choices that were equally gorgeous but had no obviousness whatsoever.

From left, Fendi's Biga bag, Dolce's hardware bag and Lois Vuitton's red croc were all not obvious choices thses spring. But most are not my style!

I know what you mean by obvious, Astrid, I get that feeling from a lot of Tom Ford's bags, even those cluch bags with the silver lips. Kind of what you'd expect to find at a cheap seaside resort! the YSL Colonial is nice, but I think it's been a part of their classic collection for a while. The croc LV is beautiful, very glamorous

it's discontinued as far as i know... it was from the fall 2003 season...

however saks fifth avenue's website still seems to have it in stock ($895), here's the link:
