I'm trying to decide about a pair of bronze dada's on ebay. They're gorgeous but I don't know that I have anything to wear with bronze...

if only they were 37s I'd be fighting you for them

guccigal I've been thinking about you because kelly ripa has been wearing the modern times pumps for the last two days, and today, in typical kelly fashion, she made a point to show them off, gush etc. even rachel bilson told her she loved her shoes

they're the type of shoes that a friend of my mom's would call her "dinner party" shoes. Beautiful to be seen when she's sitting on a couch with her legs crossed, but not wearable outside of the house or when she needs to stand or walk

here are some shoes I picked up from YSL San Fran.

they sold out so fast.

they are simular to the dada but are all closed toe, have a platform and less dramatic heel.

I sure love them.

I tried on the black suede Now look with red heel. I really liked them alot.

I agree, those boots are HOT, I saw them in the store today, they're super hot. Too bad they are killers, Id just bite my lip and keep walking. Beauty is pain, kids!

^yea they apparently kill, my mom has a pair (hi mom!) and she put gel insoles on the balls of the foot to make them more comfortable...

well both are uncomfortable. I am very upset. I can wear any shoe in the world but these are like a brick on your foot. I walk like I hurt my back or have something up my....

...its VERY rigid. I love them and they are great.

but they are uncomfortable. badly uncomfortable.

I think because between the platform and the first layer of the shoe...is that metal piece so it doesn't bend or mold or anything..its rigid and painful and doesn't absorb shock

I bought the modern times ankle boot. I love them, but they look hookerish, and I'm not sure I can walk in them at all /that comes from me - I'm always on high heels - I have one pair of flat shoes/. I can not drive at all! I wear 40 in YSL but in these I took 41 by the advise of the sales lady. Also I do not like them with a skirt, the only way of wearing is with skinny pants and jeans.

I do love the pump and boots but they just don't work. I might ebay the pumps if they are dirt cheap one day...but I can't walk in them.

at least the YSL show is tonight....so we can see spring shoes!

I've tried on the pumps and found them just as uncomfortable as guccigal described, but are the boots better? Something about the leather makes me feel like they'd be more supple. Regardless I think they're beautiful so I'll definitely snap them up when/if they hit sale price, I won't get uncomfortable shoes at full price.

Have you had the chance to try the Gucci gold platforms in patent leather? How do they compaire in terms of comfort with the modern time pump?

I tried the YSL boots today just to find out how uncomfortable they are.
The SA at Saks told me that he didn't sell even a pair of those shoes for a long time . and then I put them on, and I couldn't walk in them ...I mean I could walk but in a very awkward way. It feels like walking on a piece of stone but with balls at the bottom of my feet - very unstable.I totally know what guccigal meant now. Finally, they are unbelievably good looking!

aris....yeah tried the gucci. didn't like them. cheapo patent. they didn't do it.

Caffiene....when you walk in the boots and the pumps...feels like your legs don't have joints. they are not good.

I would only buy the pumps because they are beautiful super cheapo on ebay
