YSL Shoes Fall 2006

i was just seeing the new bazaar (with jennifer aniston on the cover) and in one of the eds, the model was wearing the boots with the gold toe and they were something like 840 bucks

is that right? they looked great though...

^The Prada one's dosen't have the patent tip on the toe either, I adore the ysl one's they are just so cool!

Depends on your style really, i would go with the ankle boot-- no competition, but that's because it's so meeeeee.

i saw the pump and boots (i think) at the ysl trunk show. they are very pretty and chic! now you all got me wondering if i should put a reserve for them!! hah hah

They scream YSL imo, I'm sure those boots will be hothothot this season, the gold and black comb. with a platform it's orgasmic.

Btw. 'putting a reserve' is that the same thing as going on a waitinglist?

no, putting it on reserve at ysl means i have to provide my CC to them and they will charge me when the item comes in. waitlisting at ysl just means they will hold it for you for several days. reserving ensures that you get them right away; waitlisting will depend on how many are on the list and where you are on the list -sometimes the wait can be awhile and you are not guaranteed to get it.

perhaps i should get these instead of now look pumps or tchain pumps! i'll see. i will have to sleep on this one.

But YSL or boutiques here usually don't offer refund, what if they charge you and they simply don't fit? I guess you are pretty sure about your size though.

YSL in sf offers full refund within 10 days if i am not happy. i would pretty much tell the SA on the spot if i love them or not, not bother taking them home with me. i will know right away if i love the shoes or not. at least the SA cna't be too pissed with me if i don't want them and i return it right there as oppose to holding on to them. they can at least pass it on to the next customer, know what i mean?

Yeah, it kinda defets the waitinlist system though.. I might start doing that, just skip the waitinlists, and calling around. lol.

actually, YSL does not have a "waitlist" they have the "wishlist" or the "reserve list". the wishlist is for those are not 100% committed and just want to wait and see. reserve is for people who absolutely want the item once it comes in. i tend to reserve if i am 99.9% sure i want the item. i haven't decided if i want to wishlist or reserve the modern times boots. after realizing the boutiques did not order the now look boot in black with blue heels or even brown with blue heels (except the croc one), i pretty much gave up on ysl boots in general. but after seeing a pic of the model wearing it above, that got me all interested in it again.

the only reason i would return a reserve item is it it looks horrible on me or it does not fit. at this point i am playing a guessing game with the YSL shoe sizes for the fall season. dada sizing seemed to be too large, the previous season of jeanne loafers were dead on but the season before that with the taitais were running a bit small. so who knows.

if you think you really want the modern times or any of the YSL shoes, i strongly suggest you reserve them, or at the very least wishlist them.

And they don't charge my account before they come in stock? I want the so bad, and I hate having to call each week, really puts me off.

VOTE- in light of my recent purchases IF I have to only get ONE YSL shoes this season something to compare to the awesomeness of the dada...which would it be

1. the now look pump (one with the fin thing) in chocolate brown and blue heel
2. Modern times pump (not boot)
3. Tchain
4. now look bootie (less likely to get.....I like pumps the best)

so which one and why. which to you is the most SPECIAL
