Here’s what the 34-year-old Margin Call actor, who wore Dior Homme, had to share:
On shaving his eyebrows off to play Spock in Star Trek: “That’s definitely the most tedious part of playing Spock. The first time, it took three weeks for them to come back in a way that I didn’t have to wear my glasses every day to hide them. It was probably two months before they were really thick and bushy again.”
On privacy: “But it’s like our culture is so rooted in voyeuristic obsession and the exposure of people’s lives in order to feel validated. It’s terribly empty and sad. It leaves me with a diminished faith in humanity.”
On whether Margin Call can inspire empathy for Wall Street suits: “We’re not necessarily asking for empathy, just providing access to a world in which these people were ultimately pawns in a much larger game. There were certainly people who acted reprehensibly, but there were also people who were just following orders.”

The 34-year-old actor recently chatted with Access Hollywood about his decision to come out.
“I just felt like it was my time, you know? I felt like it was a week of declarations for me. I’m declaring that I’m gay, I’m declaring that I want to be a serious contributor to the dialogues that are happening in the world right now. The way that I can do that is creatively,” he shared.
Zach added that he wasn’t thinking about whether his announcement might inspire other actors to come out, too.
“That’s their life and that’s their journey. Everybody has to get to a point in their own time in their own way. The thing that I’m most proud of in this entire situation is that’s exactly how I did this. It was on my terms, in my own words, and I’m really grateful for that,” he explained.

The 34-year-old actor’s production company, Before the Door Pictures, is producing a love story set in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Imperial Palace “centers on a Biloxi man who manages a casino that FEMA uses as headquarters for their relief efforts in the area. An ex-girlfriend also arrives on the scene, sparking an uncomfortable love triangle,” according to HitFix.
Zach will be teaming up with Killer Films for the project, which is slated to start production next spring.
