Zara S/S 2026 by Steven Meisel

Full campaign features Malin Rudnick, Libby Taverner and Lauren Huyskens as well.

Very pretty, I won't deny a Meisel Zara campaign. Perhaps slightly less strong than some of the previous ones.

TBH the whole campaign looks like: First, he shot the Dolce and Gabbana campaign
Then as people was cleaning and taking down the D&G studio set, ZARA called so he shot this campaign with what was left
or perhaps it was the other way around?

just just old prada ad ss 2006mixed with chloe and blazy and d&g looks and 10 other designers
  • Designer : Miuccia Prada
  • Fashion Label : Prada
  • Model : Sasha Pivovarova
  • Photographer : Steven Meisel
or DIY it at home :

Reference-wise, this Prada campaign resembles more this season's Dolce & Gabbana campaign. If we're digging for comparisons, the Zara campaign might be a pastel version of Christy's 2010 August cover story for Vogue Italia with its derelict set design, perhaps a touch of Missoni S/S09 regarding color palette.

Either way, it's as good as can be expected. Not my favourite of his Zara campaigns, but still quite pretty!

oh i dont dig i just remenber it as soon as i open this tread prada campaign are burnt in my brain as they are iconic clear stories easy to remember

went to see the Christy Turlington, Steven Meisel, Vogue Italia, 2010 story you mentioned :

Which to my eyes is another version of delric house this is more abandoned and full of dirt and dust and would require some digging to acutaul find a clean place to sit or have a bed :)

Sure the wall paper idea was applied in the prada set pasted idea , its typical evolution and reuse of ideas.
Honestly i only liked the Prada version rest is whatever pinterest version of the orgianl story /concept.
Why i like the Prada one more is because it has genuine link to italian and french cinema of the 60 ´s and 70s as Miuccia often takes form.

And arte povera idea & bucolic ideas that the collection is also based on has been an obsession for the brand Prada, its long tradition of wealthy to idealize / know that returning to a simple life in nature is the ultimate luxury.. much like Maria Antoine did with her farmhouse on her palace grounds etc

Why in north italy the wealthy people wear things form the mounting like loden coats etc (where the Chanel jacket also comes from)

example :
Like later one Miuccia re-did for Miu Miu a version based on the movie Deserto Rosso & Prada 2006 collection (Red Desert -1964 film directed by Michelangelo Antonioni .) with same bucolic interiors

i really don't like him doing ads for Zara but go get that coin :) there is no real culture added to the fast fashion image just recycle image that in the end looks like past but without the dept of idea. as the clothes as well are a puzzle of algorithmic trend forecasting to just sell and move on to the next ting.

The tones are very Roversi-like in a lighting way, something I can relate to the Armani ads, but with Prada (sorry for this 😅) clothes. The Zara campaigns are the field to know what Meisel and Templer would have done if they were still working at VI now. I like he brings fresh faces most of the seasons, giving the chance to newcomers to have something close to the "VI expirience" past generations had. That Prada campaign is major, though, it's like something won't happen again in such a way. Love that Inez and Vinoodh campaign as well, maybe one of their last good ones. This campaign is Meisel's safe delivering . Is not revolutionary, but is distant to nowadays campaign's mediocre photography done by the majority.

The whole campaign is flawless, from start to finish. Meisel, once again, is providing Zara with a campaign that rivals and outshines the vast majority of the big-name fashion brands this season. Libby Taverner has photographed absolutely wonderfully here. What a beauty she is! I love the whole mood here, very pretty.

Was just gonna mention the same @PDFSD - exact color grading as the prada campaigns.
Love it. I mean, many Zara pieces were inspired by Prada. So, not surprised that Meisel has been contacted and they'd take a stab at the same campaign creative direction. It is what it is. It's fashion, everything is circular. At least it's Meisel biting archival Meisel in this case. Can't be mad, Steven can do whatever he wants.
