has anyone seen the over the knee margiela knock offs in stores?
I went today and saw 2 givenchy knockoffs - the black cowboy sandal and the over the knee cowboy boot (neither in my size!!) and they both look really good. I didn't have my camera so no photos..sorry
here are the originals (both from style.com)

^i saw the black cowboy sandals like 15 min ago at the Robson store in vancouver! it looked like they had lots of sizes left.
i would love to try those over-the-knee boots on! they look badass.

they were totally badass! I'm gonna check out another location to see if I can't find them. They did have a good amount in stock..not picked over yet, its just hard to find a size 40! (curse my huge feet!)

has anyone seen anything from the Zara site catalogue yet? I like a lot of it. THe over the knee boots are very cool tough they can easily look tacky when not styled right..

There are some items, like the orange LV knock-offs that only arrive in some stores, mostly so called 'image stores' (these are normally stores in a big city and those which are located the most prominently.)
It's possible, if you have the article number, to ask at your Zara where they got the items you want. Just PM me if you need an article number, I can check at work. :flower:

irulan, i live in a pretty big city but i don't think my Zara store in the centre of the city is an image store because they don't get most of the exciting stuff.

Haven't seen those over the knee boots anywhere and also not the Cowboy sandals. I'm actually a bit disappointed.

It's just the opposite for me, at least where I live. I have the most common shoe size (37 or 38, depending on the style), and those sell out right away. What's frustrating is that my budget requires me to spread out my earnings over the course of a month, so I can't always buy something on the day I find it. I'll go back to Zara a week later, and the entire rack will be size 40.:(

wanted to share a couple pairs of shoes i bought during the seasonal sale this past month or so:

i've always found Zara shoes uncomfortable but this time, i lucked out. I bought the cream/blk heels in all black, too and those are now my "Little Black Pumps" i am horrendous at wearing high heels and pretty much only have them on in my carpeted office but the toe-cap ones have a hidden platform and are actually only about 2 inches high!

what? 2 inches high? o.O

how did they construct something like that? i see no room for a plattform!

for those in Toronto, the Bloor st. location has the balmain studded sandals they are actually quite nice in person.

okay, i lied. maybe more like 2.5 inches after i measured. :p but still...the heel is 3.25 inches high. if you look at the cap of the toe....you can see it is thicker than the black wedges. but yeah, they're VERY comfortable (surprisingly!)

i love zara to bits but I've realised that over the years they've started using vanity sizing as well. For people on the smaller end of the spectrum this is quiet annoying because a real xs cant buy clothes in zara anymore!!

I consider myself a real size xs - and I believe that if you saw the quantity of clothes in my wardrobe, you would agree on that! :innocent: I usually find a lot of Zara clothes - but maybe I´m just lucky.

Today I bought a black "wrap cardi" - not sure I´m keeping it, though. It´s a bit like the one I recently bought in a blue-ish colour (post 3398).

The balmain sandals are 120€ in Italy which is crazy for a pair of zara shoes

omg so true. i wish they make XXS pants cuz most of the time XS is not even small enough which is so ridiculous cuz i m not even that skinny

I got some great bargains yersterday in Zara. I was actually looking for the balmain sandals but it seems they're not out yet here. And none of the other new stuff they had in was that exciting so I went over to the sales rack. I got that lilac military/band blazer that used to be lik 199 CHF (~170USD) for 40 CHF (~34USD) and they still had most sizes left. Then I also got a black chiffon blouse that I've been eyeing since it first came out marked down to 40 CHF (~34USD). And I also got a great basic t-shirt from that the row-esque collection with the seam on the back in lilac for only 6 CHF (~ 5USD)! I will take picture soon to show you.
