It moves fast and Zara's cadre of 200 designers sits right in the midst of the production process! new merchandise displayed in limited quantities, this is the secret and j'adore.

i hate it...
here- everything sells out so FAST...
especially in the most common sizes- which i am...
too many times i go in there and they are sold out of what i want in my size...
and maybe it only arrived the day before...
i don't want to have to go to zara everyday!...

also- the fit is just funny...
it's sort of long and lean...
def for a specific body type...

i found some amazing things that i just adored in the past..
but i find that i return everything i buy there these days....

:ermm:...

and no one else i know shops there either...
except people i know in europe...
everyone seems to shop at h&m and uniqlo....

You hate it because everything sells out so fast? IMO Zara is a gem on the high street, and most people know it, that's why it sells out..the trick is knowing when the new deliveries get in store, and then go down.

The good stuff sells out SO FAST, I wanted the balenciaga-inspired blazer so bad but it was all sold out here! :/

I don´t quite understand what you mean - isn´t long and lean the most perfect fit for anyone?
personally I am glad that they make tops that come to the hip bone.

all in all, they produce a lot of trash, but also a few absolute gems per year.

and their deliveries are usually twice per week, always on the same days as far as I know.

it's only good if you are long and lean yourself...
if you have a high waist..a top won't come to your hip bone...
it will come lower and be awkward and/or uncomfortable

it you have hips, the tops won't go over them...
if you have thighs, the skirts won't fit over them...

etc etc etc...i could go on and on...

so- it only fits ONE body type- which may be yours....but certainly isn't everyone's...and they have no variety/options...
i just think that the stuff looks way better on the hanger than it does on...

I wanted the striped balenciaga knockoff blazer too, unfurtunately they only had xs (too small) and medium (too big) in Rome... hope to get it tomorrow in vienna though! :woot:

^ I diden't think it came in XS? When I talked to the SA she only said 's,m'l' and Zara does not often do XS? At least european XS?

yeah I asked for the xs too... she said the smallest size was s. I would love the xs though, even though I wouldnt be able to close it properly, ha!

^:ermm: I think it was XS... because I remember trying it on and it was too small... then I looked for one size up, and they only had M (I think), which was too big... but maybe it was S and L!? I'm not so sure anymore...

anyway, I'll look for it in my local Zara tomorrow and I don't expect it to be sold out yet... if some of you desperately want one, I can maybe send it to you! :)

if you look on each tag it says in whsh szes it comes in at the bottom ;)

i loved their new Zara TRL to death, the purple pieces are all so romantic and gorgeous..I would buy everything they had in that shade of purple.

The new make up line is also good, they changed the whole format it reminded me to VS's one(the black taps).

all i can say is wow. I went to Zara yesterday and fell in love with so many pieces! The balenciaga knockoff looks great and so do some other wool jackets! And shoes... and bags...

you were all right, they have the 'Balenciaga' jacket only in S, M and L... I got the M one today, the S was really close fitting and if I'm wearing sth underneath, the M is perfect... :D

there's a pic of the jacket in the shopaholics thread, i bought it and a medium was even a little snug-- generally i'm a small.

I succumbed to the lure of the Balenciaga Knock-off jacket today! Even though I have my name down for the real-thing! I think the Zara version is the better choice - not only for the obvious financial reasons - but because you can actually fasten them up whereas many of the Balenciaga pieces are cut to only fasten with the one button.

BTW I am typically pretty small but went with the medium because I prefer to be able to do up all 3 of the buttons. They still had a few left in some of the Zaras around here but you have to look hard to find them.

I don't know what pictures of the jacket are posted in the shopaholics thread, so I'm gonna post a few details... :flower:
