I am ready for SS08! The Georgetown store has all new merchandise on the first floor already. The palette for Zara Women is very soft: blush, ivory, etc. I see a number of below-the-knee dresses that are in the spirit of Carolina Herrera. More satin LBDs with either a be-jewelled neckline or belt.

The one dress that I ended up buying is light grey chiffon-y and must be inspired by either J. Mendel or Roland Mouret: it's sleeveless with a bit of a boatneck and ruched detailing around the shoulders. It has pockets on the side, and the dress is cut in such a way that you can hike up the hemline to make it a mini. The extra fabric drapes around the waist to create a slouchy silouette on top. Wish my camera is working!

I also recommend their silk scarves: I love the finish and it comes in tastefully gauzy colors and costs just USD $29!

Great riding boots, too.

I am ready for S/S.. I feel that Zara also present better collections during S/S than F/W.
For those in CA, I was in the SCP branch last week and there wasn't really much left, but the new spring collections were in and I picked up a green ombre shift which I hope to layer over a black slip or wear just as a top.

I hit up the sale today... amazing stuff still available at the union square store in SF.. got a gorgeous black embroidered cutout dress and a bright orange/red print top and some awesome (and super cheap) jeans. There were some amazing flat black boots on sale, but my size was gone.. I'm gonna go check out the other store in westfield later this week too. great deals to be had!

I must note that a LOT of items were torn, missing buttons, had large flaws in them though, so be careful and check your items closely before heading to the register. I had to put back the most gorgeous silk printed dress because the seams were all ripped apart on the sides. :-(

Had a look at new season in NYC. Nothing really caught my eye, except maybe one of those tie-dye esque silk dresses - which don't have slips!

^ so they are see-through? God, I didn't think about it... dunno if it's worth for me buying one as I'd also have to get a slip... Anyways I'm going to zara today and will see what I get. Wish me luck. I went there yesterday but it was busy and had a headache so I ended up not buying anything.

All tie-dye silk dresses were ripped or something... looked really bad. I bought this wool Prada-esque dress and there is also a picture of my grey trousers that I bought few weeks ago. They had no shoes on sale anymore. At all. But a huge pile of bags and other accessories

I wish there was a Zara nearer me - they have some really cute basics. However, some of their stuff is way too overpriced when you consider that most of it is not good quality - like a bag I saw there last summer was £130, not even leather, which is way to overpriced for somewhere like Zara

^^absolutly no pun intended, but i am seeing many, as in MANY, girls wearing that pair of boots in various shades of brown and grey lately in Barcelona (we have Zara in almost every corner ) and i just KNEW, they had to be from Zara!
