Zara is not allowed to sell the Balenciaga inspired blazer anymore (the blue one with the stripes) they have to pulll them off of their stores :-(

how do you know? was it announced officially?

Went to Zara this week and only bought a pair of black patent mary-janes (about 2-3 inch heel, one strap - same style as the Miu Miu mary janes though) and the swing coat with thick black and brown stripes, Stella McCartney/mod 60s esque which I LOVE but it's too cold in NYC to wear it now. The coats are pretty good but not much else.

it sounds cute. if you can, post pics. i'd love to see them.

Went shopping for a friend's birthday today and I passed Zara and I went in as always... saw some cute things (although it seems that the colours have dissapeared lately from the store... it's almost all blacks & browns)... but I found I bag I thought was cute so I bought it...

Has anyone bought the cigarette pants from Zara?
I think they are made out of cotton,but its kinda shiny like satin.They come in many colours like black,white,brown,beige,etc.
I wanted to buy the black ones so BADLY but they arent my size
I'm soooo bummed.They were veeeery Audrey Hepburn-like. And I cant find any black cigarette pants anywhere. Which is a shame since the Zara ones were SO CHEAP!

i bought something at zara for the first time since weeks.
strangely almost same print top as Balenciaga SS08 in greens and yellow. 100%, typical flowy summery top with a grey canvas belt...
has anyone else seen it..

I've just realised my coat is an inspired/copy version of Rachel Bilson's Opening Ceremony coat (pic from Favourite Looks of 2007 Thread in Star Style

YEs definitely check out the coat, it looks much better on and in real life. When I tried on the coat another woman caught sight of me wearing it and ended up wanting it as well. And very random but today in the afternoon while walking to a subway from the Met Museum I was stopped by a woman who asked me where it was from... anyway I actually recognised the woman as one of those NYC society girls (I'm not from New York, so the whole high society thing whatever is a bit of a novelty for me) who's always in Vogue/W magazine etc, it was very strange!

I uploaded the pics to MyStyleDiary but unfortunately I couldn't get them any smaller and it automatically crops it to a square size I'll put them up on PhotoBucket maybe. They look much cuter in real life, they have the same sort of shape as the infamous Miu Miu Mary Janes but only one strap and a lower heel. The toe is very similar though, which is what I love most about it - so it looks very delicate and elegant.
