@blueberry night: Seriously 100USD? Wow, that's pretty much money. They are reduced for 40€ (=63USD) here and I thougt they are still too pricey although they are indeed lovely.

sara, that dress is very nice. It's great that the length works for you.

I got the long pink flowery silk dress on sale, but it's insanely long. I'm 177 cms tall and even when I put on these crazy tall platform espadrilles (and added about 15 cms to my height) I got from Topshop last year, it still touched the floor. I guess I'll just have to shorten it. Not looking forward to hemming all that material by hand though.

this is off-topic, but it's good to hear that there are other ppl who are tall and still wear ridiculously high heels...


on topic: I've already bought some few stuff in the very first sales days... most of it wasnt that much cheaper, but it was what I really wanted.... and as usually i also bought an expensive "new collection" dress- stupid me! btw I asked the saleswomen whether they'd reduce the other, "new collection" things SOON and she said no. and now, not even 2 weeks later some of those things are on sale. I didnt see that dress I had bought, but if I should see it within the return period, I'll bring it back and ask, whether I could buy the very same piece again, not merely because of the price difference, but because the saleswoman simply didnt say the truth... her behaviour IMO meets quite some elements of the criminal offense of fraud .

I dropped by zara today to check out the reduced prices, but there wasn't much left in my size... Saw the burberry-esque belt on sale and I got really excited, but the buckle was missing, unfortunately. There was this beige vest with a racerback that I loved, but the buttons were missing, so I'm going to check the downtown location tomorrow!

If she did it on purpose, she probably just got told to say that..... otherwise, she just didn't know.

zara sends a fax to the stores with the reductions for each reference.
Sales assistant and store managers do not know the actual reductions until the day before the sales.
Usually new stuff (and by new i mean stuff that has been out 1 or 2 months before sales) it's not reduced, but there are exceptions, based on global sales of each product.
So maybe she just supposed that the dress couldn't go on sale because it was a new product

hm.. i'm thinking about buying one of these black vests with the embroidered revers. but i think 40€ is a bit much for it, espacially cause i saw a vest in the shop on which there were all of the three buttons missing...
any of you have it? any expericences on how the studs stay on the vest or not?

I didn't buy it for that very reason. The studs were already falling apart in the store = not worth it.

btw - I was a bit disappointed about the sale, too. I would have wished to live in at least Cph for buying Zara stuff. Hm.
