i'm surprised you guys like her cuz Zhu Lin would be considered 'harsh looking' by the majority back home... i came across discussion boards where someone [who knows her] said she was just an ugly duckling & an awkward tall girl before winning 3rd place in some international model competition in 2005, & nobody expected it. they even say she's the new Lu Yan. i guess i find harsh features attractive..

there needs to be some stunning power-electronics / industrial music played when looking at her, it just seems fitting.

Zhu Lin to me is the only asian who can walk for Prada without looking out of place. she has this moody, sedated, blunt presence on the runway and her angular features really fit the palette. like the recent AW07 show i keep thinking how perfectly that face suits the lighting & styling of the clothes, and the general mood of it. but she has about .01% chance of actually doing it because she is not that young. 21,22. and the average age in a prada show is like 15. and its not like prada would cast another asian anyway.

thats right. although shes the opposite of uglyduckling to me. its just the name 'normal' people give to those whose look are too challenging for them. but it's like when was the last time in history mainstream opinion had any importance anyway.
