Just saw "Geisha" tonight.
So lovely made me choke up and cry.
Gong and Ziyi made me fall in love with them...*sigh*...such a great Hollywood old-fashioned sweeping epic with lush colors and amzing music and gorgeous costumes and actors...very much a throw-back to the golden days when women pictures ruled
I saw it in a sold-out Hollywood industry showing and these people are very critical...when it finished, it got applause. And when Gong's name came up in the closing credits, more applause very nice.

I really, really, really like that white dress with the long train she wore to the "Memoirs of a Geisha" premiere. Soooo pretty and elegant and classy and youthful! She's a beautiful actress; can't wait to see the movie! Anyone see her in "2046"? She was amazing in it.

Ziyi at China's 1st International Television Ad Awards, also known as the "Golden Coconuts", held on December 25th in the resort city of Sanya. Ziyi was named an honorary citizen of the city by the mayor and she recieved "Achievement Award" for her global success.

just saw tonight Memoirs, she was fantastic, the entire cast was fantastic I really enjoyed it, I still feel the book was better but that always happens with me ^^ great movie! Gong Li was reaaaaally good!

heh I really like the guy from Chungking and House of Flying Daggers too since you all are talking about him, hehe he's adorable!

I can't believe I never considered making a search about Ziyi before today, how beautiful!! Thank u all for all those contributions! Definitely my new added fave thread Ziyi is a whole other kind of woman and I'm sure she's on her way up and soon will be recognized by the whole world. Geisha has helped her in that way tremendously

I adore Takeshi he's the ultimate honorable man, at least in film hehe, he's also extremely hot in my eyes, Ziyi's a lucky woman!!

She's a pretty and elegant girl. But I don't like what she did to gain herself a role in a Hollywood movies. This make her looks cheap.

She did nothing to look cheap.
She is merely having cross-over appeal and is now an international star- why would she turn down Spielberg and such opportunities??
And how on earth can this make her ever cheap ?
