The red and white dress with the pockets looks like a flower. It's fresh, young and exciting... but is it couture?

I'm not familiar with this designer.
The shoes with the painted feet/ankles look interesting.

Why would someone want to spend a fortune on a couture dress like this when you can get something similar from s/s 08 chloe (and probably on sale too!) Im not saying has couture has to be all embelished and extravagant volumes and shapes. But this is so RTW, I see nothing couture about it (except the handpainted shoes)

The painting on these dresses are just perfect. Cathy Pill is a very respected HC designer. Need to see more of this collection, though.

She is a guest designer, and yes this is Haute Couture.

Just because something isn't embellished to the pt. of insanity,
does not mean it isn't 'couture'...
The print work on the fabric, which is a very tedious process,
probably took hrs. for each dress as it was more than likely
done by hand...

Anyway, I can't say I care for the shapes of the garments..
But the print work is marvelous and inspired...
A lovely array of colors...
