what are some of the newest , most avant garde boutiques in Paris? Is there a hot shopping area? I'm tired of all of the same designer names that you see in every town around the world. I would like to find some newer, less well known deigners of women's wear. I don't wast to look like everybody else, wearing the same labels. It gets boring and lacks individuality/

where are the boutiques in paris where i can find the trends about to happen?

Hi

I live in Paris. I don't know all the cool places, but...

Try in the 11th arrondissement : the whole rue de Charonne, and rue Keller. They're supposed to be one of the most "happening" places in Paris.
Also the rue Etienne Marcel (near Les Halles)

And a few consignement shops I like :
Chercheminippes in the rue du Cherche Midi (around number 100, 120) in the 6th arrondissement.
Réciproque is a huge one, but quite expensive, rue de la Pompe (metro rue de la Pompe) in the 16th.

Have fun!

what kind of shops do you like to visit? do you like the high end stores or do you like to find little interesting shops selling unusual labels or vintage...? it really depends on what you like.

there is a thread on this already, do a search please.

You're welcome :flower: I'll correct myself though. BAG is for Beautiful Adress Guide. It's both in French and English.

Also check out the major department stores - Galarie Lafayette and La Samaritaine (the latter of which has some really funky jewellery ...well, it did when I was there. They were earrings made out of lace and stiffened into various shapes. I coveted the ones shaped like wings, but I couldn't get them...alas, and I don't remember the designer)

But definitely the HQs of the major brands. Also check out the Sephora on the Champs Elysees.
