Fellow tFS members,

Can you believe we're approaching our 25th anniversary in 2027? As we near this incredible milestone, I want to preserve and celebrate the rich history of our beloved community with a proper book.

I have something special—the original tFS database, rare photos and images, and countless stories that chronicle our journey from the early days to the present. These archives contain the real story of how theFashionSpot became the fashion forum we all know and love.

I'm looking for a passionate writer who understands online communities, fashion culture, or digital history. I want to collaborate with you on bringing this story to life. You will receive full writing credit as the author, while I will provide all the historical materials, insider knowledge, and access to the archives.

This isn't just about documenting a website - it's about capturing the evolution of fashion discourse online, the personalities who shaped our community, and the cultural moments we've witnessed together over nearly 25 years.

The dedication and foreword will be reserved for Bear and Psyche, the visionaries who created this space we all cherish.

Interested? Please DM me with:
  • Your writing background/experience
  • Why does this project speak to you
  • Any questions about the scope or timeline
Let's ensure tFS gets the book it deserves for our Silver Anniversary!

This is such a cool idea. I wish I could write ☹️ but I will buy a copy for sure when the time comes !!

Will Psyche ever visit us again? 🥲

Is this the story prior to starting the forum? I always wanted to know more about that! would also like to know why it was sold so soon (I know it was difficult to understand how to profit from forums but advertising was already reliable back then). I'll definitely be buying this!. I've been here long enough (and been nosy enough lol) to know more or less what regular or former regular users are up to... there IS one person who understands forums, who has been here for decades mostly as a lurker and who writes beautifully (started writing in platforms like this and now does it professionally). I'll reach out in case she's interested!

I will definitely be getting a copy!

Can't believe next year will mark my TWENTY YEARS anniversary at tFS :ninjas: Even writing these words feels insane. I joined as a high schooler and now I'm part of this crazy industry. This place is definitely responsible for that

Writing this makes me nostalgic and miss so many tFSers... HeatherAnne, AmyWilliams, Wolkfolk, BerlinRocks, MissMagAddict, Kimair, LeylaM, MissDalloway, SurrealSeven... and grateful to see many of you still here too!

I used to feel like that but recently (maybe past the 20-year mark), I started feeling like 'oh yeah I remember the day I joined and it DOES feel like 400 years ago' 💀

So funny you remember Leyla! I was in Monaco for a minute and for the first time last year and of all things, I was thinking 'so this is where Leyla was typing from?' 😂

I miss Heather so much.. but lowkey resentment towards her and blueorchid. QUITTERS!.

Now I think of it. I can also remember the day I joined almost 20 years ago 😱. I was ‘studying’ at the university library. I stumbled on the Fashion Spot because I wanted to see some Vogue Italia scans of an issue that just came out.

Such a strange feeling!

Oh that's true, now I remember her living there! Hope she's doing great -- and that she got to move because this city is quite something

I miss her too, very much. I hoped she would come back eventually. We had messaged each other a couple years ago. HeatherAnne if you're reading this, come back ❣️

What a brilliant idea! I'll definitely be buying a copy of the final product. There are so many users I miss, some of whom were longstanding members and some just for a year or two.

LOVE the retro tFS logo 😍
