What is the definition of a pre-collection? For the 10 Crosby girl, it’s wear now, so Derek Lam offered a lineup that has the ease of summer and the sophistication of fall. Known for his classics with a twist, Lam incorporated a Japanese element via origami folds and patterns. Oversize printed sweaters were paired with fold-over palazzo pants, a soft pajama suit was worn under a chic collarless coat and colorblocking was prominent, on everything from little jackets to delicate blouses. Color blocks also worked their way into 10 Crosby’s new shoe line, which included looks that ranged from extreme wedges to cool sneakers.
