Oh thanks Anna!! That "circus" piece is the same that was included in the exhibition. I would love it if I could find that skeleton dress she did-in full view....the detailed image in the book looks marvelous!

I love those two capes with the sun medallion embroidery! So beautiful. Actually, Cavalli (very unlikely, no?) revived that embroidery for his f/w 04 collection....probably one of the best things he's done.

Yeah,but Elsa never really had that kind of flamboyance in her work;in the sense of just sparkling and causing attention. She had impeccable execution and a purpose in everything she did.

That is why,in terms of mere creativity and vision,she stands out alongside the likes of Chanel and Kawakubo. At least for me that is.

Here are some images of various dresses with Lesage embroidery..Love the black "skeleton" dress w/ spine/ribcage detailing..included is her famous "lobster" dress, which, if Im not mistaken, was copied in a Dolce/Gabbana show..
