christina applegate looks great in the dress... but her hair and makeup were just so WRONG for the look she was going for.

she had california beach makeup... she needed plum or red lips...

so many ladies need to ditch the nude lip color. it is just awful!

The Emmys last year still had better dressed actresses.

Remember Laura Linney in Halston, Cynthia Nixon in the red Chaiken, Rachel Grifiths in embroidered Galliano, Jeri Ryan in black Saab, Kristin Davis in that blue Badgley Miscka and Jennifer Garner in Ralph Lauren.

All of them looked much better last year!
