2011 MTV Movie Awards

Kristen was wearing sneakers @ the end of the show, did she read LolaSvelt comment or what ??

Can't Twilight people just have their own awards? Thank you very much.

THIS! they made the entire show an unpleasant experience solely because they practically won every award.

and then Justin Beiber? wtf! why was he even nominated for Best Jaw Dropping Moment? that was just stupid.

look guys how Ryan and Rob are looking at Kristen in the last pic .... (both did movies with her)

They won every MTV award since 2009. How come it´s still a surprise?
I´m surprised that HP fans didn´t vote as much...

I give props to Reese for what she said but did she really have to use "nice girl."

But whatever, I've always loved Reese. Heh.

Is there any videos yet? I missed the best parts :(

I second this idea! To be honest it was disgusting how much Twilight won. I mean I know they have a large fan base but... really??? By the end of it my sister and I were just rooting for any film besides Twilight to win an award- even if we thought it wasn't good either. As a huge HP fan I'm a bit disappointed but I gotta say, I love Emma Watson's face when they paned to it after loosing to Twilight- she looked annoyed. I can't wait until the days when the Twilight films are finally over and can no longer sweep the awards away from everyone.

As a longtime fan of Harry Potter and someone who could never grasp what made Twilight anything more than poorly written pandering garbage, I've come to accept that Twilight will collect all of these meaningless awards. But oh well, because no one besides its immature fans takes it seriously. Some of my friends find the books and movies entertaining, but even they admit it's all poorly written and more of a guilty pleasure. I think on the other hand, Harry Potter's longtime fans have matured and can appreciate other movies like Inception and The Black Swan, which splits up the votes.

As far as the fashion of the night goes, I think overall Emma Watson looked pretty great, although the whole was greater than the sum of its parts. I'm not the biggest fan of her short hair, but it looks so much better here than it has lately. The dress itself was kind of an odd shape, and I'm totally over Marchesa, but I thought she looked stunning. Those heels don't hurt either. It's also not too difficult to be the best dressed person at the MTV Movie Awards, now is it? Although, I'd say that award goes to Emma Stone.

For once, Blake doesn't look too bad, and looks pretty attractive for once. I've heard only enough about her recent photo scandal to know there was one.

Agree with all the responses on HP..

Emma Watson changed dresses for the afterparty.. Also by Marchesa..

I am not a fan of Stephane Myer's writing, couldn't even finish reading book one, nor have I watched any of the films. BUT, those books and films have connected on some level with an entire generation of teen girls, so no wonder the stars are lauded. I figure they deserve the recognition given that they have entertained zillions of young girls and women with the whole gothic romance thing.

Aside: Cameron Diaz's legs and face do not jive: to me, her face is looking older and older (dang sun) but her gams still look 28. Lol, it is just an alarming disjunction!

Well this show sucked. I mean seriously...I think I may just skip next year.
Jason was great, but if they want this show to be entertaining again, they're going to have to do something about twilight winning everything. So dull.

And every other nominee (Black Swan, The Social Network, Potter, and Inception) all deserved to win much more.

In regards to fashion, there wasn't much to choose from, but I loved Emma Watson in Marchesa.
I also thought Blake looked really great (loved the ponytail).
And I also liked Reece Witherspoon. She's been dressing really matronly lately, so it was nice to see her wear something sexy.
And that's about it...I thought I liked Emma Stone until I saw it in high def...that dress is hideous.

I'm not sure how it's getting past everyone that Rob and Kristen's "attitudes on winning suck" because they agree with all of you about how ridiculous it is that they're winning all these (undeserved) awards. They're obviously embarrassed. As they should be.

They have to walk a very precarious line of showing some regret because of how obvious it is they aren't the "best" in the categories they are winning while still giving appreciation to their (ridiculous) fans.

I thought that Robert and Kirsten didn't handle winning the awards very well, so awkward and rather rude in some ways too. They are two very social awkward people I think, which doesn't bode well for live award shows. They need to change up the voting process or something for next year or else they will loose viewers for sure. No one wants to watch a awards show where its no surprise who will win. I like it to be a surprise or even an upset even!
