^ I agree, they give awards for Best Kiss and Best Fight and really have positioned itself as counterprogramming to the Oscars and other awards of that type.

^again, it´s MTV. I´ve been watching the awards since the 90s, the popular movies win every time... not the quality ones, not the ones that win important awards.
This time is Twilight, in two years there´s gonna be another franchise everyone´s sick of that will sweep the awards... nothing new under the sun.

But past winners were films like Pulp Fiction, Se7en, Titanic, Gladiator, all three LOTR, and A Few Good Men.
Even the "popular" films that won like Wedding Crashers and Napoleon Dynamite are Oscar material compared to Twilight.

But I don't think it's just the MTV movie awards that's gone down in quality...all fan voted shows appear to follow suit.
I guess that's just the world we live in now.
