people,we got to realise the reason we are hearing so much about earthquakes,tornadoes,hurricanes etc. etc. in succession is because they are being documented a lot more.....they're being experienced more. we have many more people living on this planet today than we did 50 and 100 years ago. we also have the technology that wasn't there even 20 years ago.

so i don't put so much emphasis on this notion that mother nature is more active than ever. every 40 or 50 years this planet does in fact come alive....it goes through its cycles. and to blame that on an apocalypse is a little irrational if not nonsensical. they have tried to use that many times before. in fact i remember as a little kid religious people making that claim following the earthquake in san francisco. and of course many of us are still here.

God, didn't write the bible directly, yes. But he had jesus at the time to spread his message and his message is what's in the bible. I agree with u, the bible has been altered many times, but the Quran (the muslim's book) is intact. There are so many things the muslims and christians don't have in common but not knowing when the world will end is 1 of the few things the agree on

I read one. He was really disappointed. Makes you wanna cheer him up by
saying something like 'Don't worry, maybe you'll die tomorrow!' But of course,

he'd say that's not the point.

What really mattered to him was that he was privileged. He could look down
on us burning with a smug expression on his face that God loves him more.

I don't feel so sorry for him.

That song makes me feel so old. Remember when it came out and 1999 seemed so far away, like there was so much time left that it made sense to sing about the world ending 15 years from now? We'd surely all be done living our lives by then.

That's what I don't get about these Apocalypse NOW (I said now, dammit!) people. One of my friends used to say that life is like a roll of toilet paper: the closer you get to the end the faster it goes. What's the rush? The apocalypse will get here when it gets here. Sheesh. The world isn't going by quickly enough for you as it is?
