5 Clues From a Country Game

When people talk about the Seven Wonders they normally mean Antipater's Seven Wonders though: the Great Pyramid at Giza, the hanging gardens of Babylon, the statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Ephesian temple of Artemis, the masoleum of Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes and the Pharos Lighthouse.

Just a point of historical interest...

Once we receive confirmation from gruveechik:

- Former British colony
- Approximately 2/3 of the islands which comprise this nation are uninhabited...
- Accounts of cannibalism are certain to stand out within a timeline of its history...
- Ethnic conflict a current threat to its political stability
- Popular tourist destination; its economy relies heavily upon both tourism and the sugarcane trade...

Is it New Zealand?

Lets get another one going here..

1 Contains the worlds highest waterfall
2 High producer of petrol
3 Language spans over 3 continents
4 Disastrous 2 month oil strike
5 This is easy

1. The national language is French and this country is probably more well known by it's French name
2. Boast more than 60 ethnic groups
3. Deforestation is just one of the current environmental issues
4. Part of the name is a colour and a hard, valuable substance
5. The flag is a mirror image of the Irish flag

Ha, those last two clues might give it away ;).

- Boasts a population of approximately 64 million
- The name of its capital and largest city translates into English as 'New Flower'...
- Oldest independent country in its continent
- Predominately Muslim / Orthodox Christian
