62nd Annual Golden Globes

Eva Longoria's stylist said on television that he advised her to take this look because we are always seeing her in form fitting full length types of silhouettes...he said he advised her that people need to see her in a different look.
I dont think we should be so rigid in saying a person should always be in a certain look...that just leads to everyone saying that look belongs to a certain person -- such as SJP -- hands off or you'll get burned!!

I simply thought it was not her best look because everything looked too big for her proportionately...even her bracelet!

we just need to know our strengths and weaknesses.

That's my favourite amongst all. She's one of the most beautiful women on earth.

More Nicole.. I think her dress is fantastic!

I know this comment is going to make me unpopular here, but I think Charlize looks like a member of the Addams family with that hair color...

I only now noticed Natalie Portman's outfit since I didn't watch the show on TV :p and she looks rather good... slightly untraditional and I think I like it. :innocent:

I didn't like Natalie Portmans dress.

And I agree, I perfer Charlize with lighter hair. That shade is far too dark.

Charlize's eyes look so beautiful, dunno whether it's the hair or the dress but probably a combination of the two. Lovely earrings too.

In the picture with the decreasing heights there's also a noticable increase in fake tan usage... Eww!

My top three fave for the night had to be Uma, Nicole and Jennifer Garner.
Emmy rossum dresses the best for her age ,but she should have not gotten a nomination for her role in Phantom. To the untrained ear she sounds fab, but ask anyone who's done opera voice lessons or is very familiar with opera, Emmy's voice was NOT good, she couldn't hit many of the high notes with the same force and it's just not mature enough yet and her acting was so daft. but the dress looked amazing.

I agree, even though in general I like her in terms of style, grace, etc. She really wasn't THAT great in Phantom (at least, not enough to be nominated...I was surpised she was nominated at all).

was stuart townsed there with Charlize? I find him very easy on the eyes

Here's my opinion:

Best dressed :

1) Nicole Kidman : She was obviously the queen of the ball in that delicate yet stunning Dior dress. Her hair color and skin color perfectly complemented the color of her dress. The little feather adds a touch of feminity (as though there wasn't enough of it already ! ).

2) Charlize Theron : Did I say before that she looks absolutely fabulous in modern black hair? It's way better than her weird blond from last year. Her dress is cutting edge, though it might have looked boring on someone else, it's perfect for Charlize, even BETTER than her Gucci by Tom Ford Oscar dress from last year. And her haircut and hairdo is totally cool!

3) Mischa Barton : As much as I hate her, this dress is perfect, suits her whole feminine vibe. She looks like a dream.

4) Other honourable mentions : Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman

The worst dressed OR not too well dressed OR so so:

1) All of the Desperate housewives cast: They all managed to look tacky (from Eva's cheap SPJ rip off to Teri Hatcher's weird Versac-y looking ruffled dressed).

2) Diane Kruger: I don't care if she's supporting some cool designer, it looks like some cheap indian style dress. And the color totally washes her out AND her soft romantic hairdo totally clashes with the whole concept of the dress.

3) Renee Zellwegger : She terribly s*cks. It's a weird and unflattering dress. Extremely boring.

4) Other boring choices : Kate Hudson, Scarlett Johansson, Kate Winslet, Uma Thurman

5) Too ugly to find words : Nicky Hilton, Mena Suvari, Tara Reid, Halle Berry
