8th and Ocean

oh, and i agree. bravo to Cintia Dicker...(but some of those you mentioned arent big) but i guess thats another debate, on considering what big is.

but in my personal opinion, the models on this show dont compare to her. Maybe i just havnt seen enough of them to consider their versatility. I'd like to look at their books.

shame about dicker though...she didnt walk this season

this show is such a joke.

half those girls need diets. but i guess thats the south beach look.. ^_^
and the peak of their castings, may be a teen vogue 'biography/about me' and thats, AFTER the show airs. meh.

I loved how the agent was talking about which countires the girls will be going to...As if they would even fit sample sizes.

edit: did anyone else notice the magazines they were shooting for?...their local magazine. Thats like, a wal-mart spread in your local city. Or should i say catalogs. Not that their looks arent essential, clearly they are...I mean, where else does pottery barn get their models? or Delias.

ita about their sizes-most catwalk models are way thinner than that :innocent:

 OK, wow... I'm befuddled.

I kind of like how it's not about girls doing high fashion catwalk work. I don't know... I'm not that into seeing teenage girls who really need to eat more than a piece of lettuce. At least these girls look a bit healthier. It's like seeing Natasha Poly in Vicky catalogs...

i agree as much as i love high fashion..it is sort of refreshing to see girls that aren't like 20 pnds under weight.

I actually really liked the show, but what people need to remember is that these models are in Miami, not New York. They aren't looking to be walking for Versace or shooting with Testino for Vogue. Miami, just like LA tends to be more commercial with their models.

agreed. very well written:flower:

Of course Miami and LA are more commerical- these are beach, warm places, everything MTV tries to aim for in it's programming. The average American man does not want to see Gemma Ward in a bikini when he could see Heidi or Tyra in one, and who watches MTV? Probably not Karl Lagerfeld ;)

Haven't watched the show yet, but I saw the previews and I thought Britt was pretty; and there is an article about her in the current Teen Vogue (with Ciara on the cover). Britt talks about her religious upbringing in Iowa and her somewhat sheltered life; she seems like a very nice girl, and as another poster said I hope she doesn't become too 'corrupt'; I hope she sticks to her values. There are some pretty suggestive poses she is striking on the MTV page for the show, though!

I kind of like the bitchy twin - she has more of what it takes, determination-wise.

None of the are going to be high fashion-though...

haha, i like her too. i kind of feel bad for her sister though...

^did you notice her ad for some clothing brand on the last page?

yeah I did actually! there was also more ads for the same brand (I believe it was Buckle?) in the middle of the mag...pretty cool!
here is the website, with her pic:http://www.buckle.com/

I've never heard of Buckle.. but they should not be charging $85 for a pair of cropped jeans... that you can find at Target for $25. :D

She most likely got the job while she was filming for the show and not after it aired. It makes more sense, but...
