Acne Shoes

Do the admire boots really run that small?:flower:

I mean, like a whole size? I'm usually a 39 at Zara and Topshop for example. I can sometimes size down with winter boots...

I need Admire wedges! Acne is one of the only brands I'm obsessed with, yet have nada to show for it.

Yesterday I got my first pair of Acne shoes... It's a mustard colored Acne Pistol Short Boot! It's so stylish, cool, versatile and the leather is so smooth... I'm petite, too, but I don't think it's overwhelming to my frame. It looks very much in proportion with my rather strong legs :p All in all a perfect purchase! I wouldn't be surprised to see me buying another pair in the future.

I bought these Pilot Boots from AW10. I've been eyeing these for months since they've been on sale and nabbed them before they sold out! They're even better in person and the leather is especially high quality.

I'm sure Acne shoe fans have seen these, and maybe they've already been posted. While browsing Acne's site for ankle boots, I saw these, which I had to post pictures of for the novelty of their style:

Before I saw the description - a platform version of the kitten heel pump, I thought it looked like an artistic interpretation (which I suppose it still is). There's something about it's curves and extrusions that make it seem more appropriate on a table or cabinet for display rather than worn. It would be amazing to see them on someone, though.

It seemed these photos would be appropriate for an Acne fans' thread. ; )

Those are really cool thanks for posting! I also thought of a table or a chair of some sorts when looking at it.

I do think the ankle version is much nicer than the pump one and they do look comfortable since the actual heel doesn't seem that high.

I agree, the ankle version is far more appealing, for some reason they remind me of a mix between a talon and a hoof. I'm curious how it would be to walk around in them.

For anyone who couldn't quite bring themselves to spend the £360 on the boots (as one of my friends said: it's worth it on a bag, but not on boots), Topshop have done a very similar pair for just £75.

I'm sure the real ones are well worth it, but like I said, I can spend that on a bag, not boots...!

Just got the Acne short pistols in black for Christmas ^.^ completely stoked, but still a little afraid to wear them out cos I'm so in awe. Did anyone treat their pistols with any type of waterproof/leather spray? If so, any recommendations?

^ trueblue, I just sprayed mine with Tana All Protector. I find that because the leather is matte is marks very easily, but I think it's all part of the charm of these boots ;)

Just bought my third pair of Pistols. I'm feeling kind of lame about it! But I happened to stumble across the blue suede, in my size for $200AU on Ebay (but it now).
I would have been crazy not to right?!

In Oslo (Norway) everyone is wearing the pistol shoes, so pistols are not an option for me. But they are quite nice.

The Pistols, and knock-offs, are like a plague in Stockholm..

iamnerdee..I love the color of those shoes!

I think Acne shoes were cultish when they first came out and everyone lusted over them..They really haven't created anything as special as their atacoma shoes which were hyped over every blog...

Of course, that doesn't mean the shoes they're churning now aren't great! They're just not as "special" to obsess over as previous ones...
