Must Have: Tabi Shoes

Hey fellow-Dutch girl! Welcome at TFS :flower:

I'm still in doubt about the split toe thing....I your feet aren't too large, and the split isn't too extreme it can be quite cute, otherwise it can tend to the already mentioned goat foot :ninja:

I like the shoes Purplelucrezia posted :flower: although I would not wear them myself :P

I want these ones...
I wish I'd never heard all the goat comparisons, it's getting harder and harder to see the heart

Those shoes remind me of a satyr (sp?) ..I associate 'em with evil!
A friend of mine owns tabi socks ..I think they're cute ..about the shoes ... hum .. not sure!

Those ones Strawberry posted are very cute, though I would like them a LOT better with just a plain, round toe. Those don't really look very comfortable.

Maybe I am just biased, because I have really awful feet, and know that my toes would not actually fit in the grooves provided. My toes are so long, and very splayed out. WIDE feet, and a bunion on the right one.

I don't like the canvas high-top Margiela kind. I guess that they are derived fom the tabi-socks worn with tradional japanese geta sandals :flower: If you do liek them, however, you can find them in some of the small shops in China Town NYC for less than 10 bucks.

I have a pair of handmade Indian flats that have a slight 'camel toe' but they are slimmer than the others and IMO cuter than the wider ones.

CAMEL TOE!!!!!!!
yuck.

I look at the toe, and I see a little toe-bum. This could be cute, but I wear a ten, so it's never going to be for me.

Yup!! absolutely fantastic if you're a camel   Not for me, even if they were the last pair of shoes on earth. No offense to those that like, ya dig! ;)

There was an AMAZING pair of tabi boots on the Office website this summer. Black canvas, knee-high, with a design on the side of the calf reminiscent of Hokusai's "The Great Wave at Kanagawa." They were so wonderful. I wish I had them.
:::dredges up old topic:::

I found a picture of those boots! I included them in an outfit I made for the "What Outfit Would You Wear Today?" thread. Click here. Oh, how I adore them.

HI I'm new here (from the netherlands) :flower:
Well these are the shoes that are really hot at the moment in Holland.
They are called tabi shoes :ninja: or just split toe shoes

The firts ones are from Irregular Choice
The other ones are from Okoloko

And i love them both

What do you think of the split toe shoes and are they also popular in your country/city?

they look like the "shoes" the ninja turtles wore!!!
The ninja turtle wore wooden sandals.

Anyways I like the shoes they look cute! However I don't like the boot ones, those are kind scary.

I  those!

I have a pair of Royal Elastics red sneakers, that have the same style, and I adore them... This is the link to the pic, but Ihave them in red :ninja:

Royal Elastics

 sorry but they are VERY ugly
most people want to make their feet look attractive but these are just a joke

they would go well with a fancy dress as a camel though
