Alaïa S/S 2026 Paris

Fantastic collection but nothing here reminds me of Alaia LOL.

He's talent and he has that high fashion attitude (casting, campaign, make-up, runway set etc) but it seems that he doesn't want to design for Azzedine's women. It's winter-spring, in case anyone says it's too heavy.

And Raf is so baby-girl as always.

I'll start by saying that I appreciate Pieter Mulier’s work—maybe it's not always suited for Alaïa, fair enough, I can admit that, and it doesn’t always align well with the stylistic and cultural heritage of the maison. This collection, I’ll be honest, didn’t disappoint me—but those dresses with endlessly long pants? Are we being serious or is this a joke? Did he really present those? That aside though, I’m on board with the rest. Maybe, in hindsight, it would’ve been better to have him at Balenciaga and Piccioli at Fendi (even though I’m very excited about Piccioli’s appointment at Balenciaga).

Do you, but respect the house you are working for. This is embarrassing.
wwd, family guy wiki
The amount of physical restraints he offers seasons after seasons is definitely misogynistic, and those 3 looks are the worst.
Also all the closing looks with the arms inside the jersey bodice and stuck to the models body are from the same vein. I can't like this collection, which otherwise offers very pretty skirts.

I like some pieces. It’s probably the collection from him that has the most pieces that I like ever…
But it’s so strange. Maybe I need an internship with him. He is talking about sex, women… then he shows those onesies… I’m confused.

Judging by the clothes he makes, sex must not be a pleasing experience for him I guess.

I’m confused. Maybe he is thinking too much or I’m not intellectual enough.

Hopefully, the hug to Raf means that he is going to Versace.
I love Gianni but I’m willing to sacrifice Versace on this one.

He’d be better at Versace than at Alaia ;) there are beautiful pieces but nothing that resembles spirit of the founder…

He is talking about sex, women… then he shows those onesies…

Well he is gay so I guess he has limited exposure to sex with women, hence the onesies 😜

No I want him to stay here, why should he go to Versace, seriously asking? Pieter isn’t doing Alaia the conventional way, but so what guarantees he would make everything scream Versace? To me, he belongs more to the modernist minimalism spectrum and today’s Alaia clientele is already fully sold on his vision – he’s what people associate with Alaia in 2025. Given how wealthy and rather generous Richemont is, I doubt salary is the issue.

Sometimes respecting a house doesn’t mean turning into a watered-down replica of its founder. I’m not a Tisci fan, but he's the only person that had the energy and pop-cultural magnetism to bring Versace back to life.

Donatella doesn’t own the brand. So we are as unsure of Vitale staying or leaving as we are of Pieter leaving (giving the latests whispers).
The Prada bought the brand and Capri appointed Vitale. It’s on them. But if he has the support of Donatella, great!
