Da Chanel ad Alexander McQueen, da Gucci a Louis Vuitton, Alek si muove fra passerella e set cinematografici, partecipando a grandi produzioni hollywoodiane quali le Quattro Piume di Shekhar Kapur (2002) e Suspiria di Luca Guadagnino (2018). Inoltre, Alek è oggi membro del Comitato statunitense Advisory Council, facendosi portavoce a livello internazionale della crisi umanitaria sudanese.

Furthermore, Alek is now a member of the USA Advisory Council, acting as an international spokesperson for the Sudanese humanitarian crisis.
