Paris Weekend Recap: On the Street: Alex

by Guest Blogger March 09, 2009

NAME: Alex, 19

GOT HER: In the Louvre, the Bryant Park of Paris Fashion Week.

SHE TOLD ME: "I took a break from modeling to finish high school and really focus on my art work. But now I'm a freshman in college, missed modeling and decided to come back for a bit! I'm just doing the Paris shows this time around because they're so much fun."

I TOLD HER: So is your Giles Deacon jacket.

Either way, good to see her back on the runway again ^_^

She had a nice season even though she only did Paris this season but hopefully she'll sign with a NY/Milan agency in time for next fashion week so we get to see more of her on the runway. :flower:

(I haven't a clue if these are new or not. Just enjoy!)

She was our TMSRRE girl number twenty nine after having such a great season in Paris, leaving us with some unforgettable runway moments from Yves Saint Laurent to Issey Miyake including Dries Van Noten. You will never overlook her in backstages with her 5'11 silhouette, strong yet delicate gaze and expressions, iconic hairdo etc. Unique and out of the blue, exploring some sides of beauty that remained out of the beaten tracks until she hit paris again, last March. Everytime we can update on her work, we'll do and here is a nice opportunity to write on Aleksandra again. Shot by Rafael Stahelin, styled by Ye Young Kim and published in latest issue of Dedicate magazine (where we always find some interesting alternative editorials).

Abbreviations in credits are not allowed - please post the proper credits for the images.

Images credited with site abbreviations will be deleted.

Changes To Our Crediting Rules

Effective immediately:

- Site names need to be spelled out (clickable url/links
in lieu of a site name are not acceptable).

Management
has noticed the growing use of abbreviations when crediting images posted on tFS. Credits are posted as a courtesy to the site where they were taken.

However many
members do not know what the abbreviations stand for. Only those "in the know" will understand the reference. Simply posting an abbreviation as credit thus negates the purpose of posting credits.

- Account names to images from flickr, deviantart, myspace
, etc. have to be added.

Flickr/deviantart/myspace etc users deserve credit maybe even more than established and well-known sites. Please keep this in mind when saving/uploading images from these sites.

Posts that fail to live up to these new rules will be deleted.

If in doubt regarding crediting please contact a moderator.

Thank you so much for the update on Aleks, papa levante! She looks great in the new pictures and despite my initial doubts about the new haircut, she really works it quite well! :)
