I haven't heard of that, but I wouldn't be surprised. That necklace is probably the most popular they have, so im not surprised that you can order it over the phone.

I love Alex and Chloe, although they could stand to come out with some new pieces. I haven't had a problem yet with my necklace.

I'm super not surprised that the Chanel necklaces aren't available anymore. Especially considering that the interlocking CC w/ crossbones was a style that Chanel themselves did like, four years ago.

Two of my friends ordered pieces and had equally disappointing results. One bought the swords and they snapped in half within a week and the chain broke. The other ordered the Kate Moss pendant, which looks NOTHING like it does on the site, which scratched and chipped the first day she wore it.

The pieces are total crap quality and far too expensive for what they are. Total hipster trash.

I could see that. Im sure they are not happy about it.

Im disappointed to hear that people have issues with them, considering the prices.

Id be POed if I paid that much, and it just broke within a week or so.

i've owned 3-4 Alex & Chloe necklaces and i've never had a problem with the quality =)

(and the people i've given them to/sold them to haven't had either, as far as i know)

Yeah I have like 4 necklaces and they are fine..I always keep them in the pouch they come in when I'm not wearing them.

I use the pouch-dustbag-thing for other, cheap jewellery, and the necklace in it's box. My acessory-storage-thing is a complete mess now, i think i need to do something about it later today.

I btw wonder if Karl Lagerfeld called them himself, got an assistant to do it, sent them a letter, an email or what.. I know i would totally freak if i got a call from Karl..

they made an oversized one for a while..they might be able to send you one if you email them...i got a bullet oversized one just about 2 months ago..

Hmm, is the quality that bad? I dont own any accessory from Alex n Chloe but im really interested in getting some. Would be kinda embarassing if it snaps or breaks in public or in the hands of my friends, puts you in an awkward situation. Considering the fact that it might already be broken on arrival, since its gonna travel halfway around the globe

no, it's not that bad. Just don't drive your car over it, and you'll be fine. I've owned several, and not had a single problem (and no, i do not work for alex& chloe )
