ROMANTIC football ace Steven Gerrard is whisking his sexy missus Alex Curran off to America for an end-of-season love match.

The pair are celebrating their first wedding anniversary with the transatlantic trip next month.

And gorgeous Alex, 25, is up and running with a fitness regime to get her in great shape for the States.

She explained: “Steven and I are really looking forward to going on holiday to America next month, where we’ll celebrate our first wedding anniversary.

“I’ve started running because although I don’t want to lose weight, I do want to tone up and get healthy for the summer.

“I find it hard to motivate myself but my mum comes with me and we run round the park together and she makes sure I don’t stop.”

The golden couple are taking some pals along on their US break ­– but Scouser Alex is hoping to get her man alone for the night at least.

She said: “We’re going with his cousin and her boyfriend and another couple, so there will be six of us.

“I think on the night of our anniversary we’ll go out for a nice dinner. I can’t wait!”

Alex looked in fine form last week on the red carpet at the London premiere of Sex And The City, wearing a shocking pink satin mini-dress.

She and Liverpool and England midfielder Steven, 27, tied the knot on June 16 last year at the swanky Cliveden House hotel in Berkshire.

Stylish Alex Curran was the spitting image of Paris Hilton today, scoring MAXImum fashion success in a long purple dress as she went shopping in Liverpool.
The slicked back blonde hair, silver jewellery and huge shades were eerily similar to the American heiress's trademark look.

The glamorous 25-year-old wife of footballer Stephen Gerrard has enjoyed a hit and miss career in the fashion stakes - she wowed the crowds at Aintree in a flamenco-style red-frilled off-the-shoulder blouse and black pencil skirt, which ensured her recovery from an embarrassing tummy-baring incident.
Meanwhile, her husband recently revealed he is hoping to persuade his young wife to have another child.

The pair already have two daughters, Lilly-Ella, four, and Lexie, 22 months.

The football star said: "It would be nice if we could make it one more in the future."

The wife of Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and a similarly blonde friend were spotted in the super-long gowns as they enjoyed a shopping trip in Liverpool on Saturday.

The 25-year-old mother-of-two, who writes a fashion column for the Mirror, was sporting this summer's biggest look, a purple maxi dress and snake-print platform shoes.
