Harper's reprints aside, she's amassed more magazine covers than a working model in such a short span of time.

There are rumblings of a break up already. He abruptly left the vacation they were having in Spain with her friends and went to Sweden to hang with his friends. :blink:

Who can blame him, her friends are the pits!!

I really liked her first AG collection, this one on the other is not good, that "sacred monster" sweater should be burned.

I am ashamed to know this but: I doubt him going back home was abruptly. He went to a festival - Way Out West - with friends and familes and he usually goes there every year so I would think it was pre-planned. Lots of pics of him here looking like he was having a ball - not like he just broke up with someone in a huff..

I like the Nails Inc colour but it's not a very original colour for fall IMO.

I'm ashamed to know too much about this stuff too but it's fun gossip so I think it's okay. :cool:
He goes to Way Out West every year and usually stays in Sweden until after his birthday which is coming up soon, but according to what my friend says (who works around these celebrities & hears things) Alexa was suppose to go with him to Sweden. She wasn't suppose to stay in Mallorca as long as she did. She and Alex were suppose to go together. He got angry and left a day earlier after a video of him at Mallorca with her was posted online by one of Alexa's friends. What I've seen in pictures in the past few months where these two are concerned is history repeating itself. The girl trying to be affectionate towards him and he abruptly lets go of her hand and starts walking several feet in front of her or behind her. He behaves like he has no idea who the girl is. Recently when he went to a press junket to promote his latest film, a reporter asked him how Alexa was doing and he said "who?", the reporter repeated herself and Alex continued to say "who?". He did the exact same thing when he was with Kate Bosworth. :rolleyes: If he hates the paparazzi and the press as much as it seems he does he picks the wrong women to date. Alexa, like Kate, make their living with the help of the media and press. They both call the paparazzi in order to keep the interests there and they aren't shy about it. They both design clothes and have other successful ventures. They both have very popular social media pages. If this man is so private then he should find himself a girl in the entertainment business who shares his same "anti press, media, paparazzi and social media" attitude. If that isn't possible, then find someone who's not in the business of entertainment. It's really not that hard to do. :rolleyes: If you look at Kate Bosworth today, I never seen a person more happy and full of joy as she is now that she's married Michael Polish. She looked glum and always forced a fake smile when she was with Alex. I see the same happening with Alexa now. I give Alex props as he's always very kind to his fans but to have him as a boyfriend must be a little bit of a nightmare. I know privacy is a very important thing to have in that business but Alex takes it to another level. I think he's very disrespectful to the person he's dating as if she's good enough for one thing but not good enough to be seen in public with him. Alexa can do better in my opinion.

I do not know if I agree with you in that last sentence.:lol:

But seriously his attitude is starting to stink, Alexa is a facsimile of Kate, what was he expecting? I'm all for protecting one's privacy, he can take it to the level he wants, but then he shouldn't choose his girlfriends among the media whores.

I mean, regardless of what you think about Alexa, no one deserves to have a bf who refuses to claim them, especially if it's a one-sided thing. She seems very demonstrative with him and as far as I know she has never openly denied him. So yeah, she definitely can do better than a guy who seems to think of himself as superior to her. And tbh, I'm not sure I entirely buy this anti-media image that he has anyway.

They are both fashionistas, that live through their media profile, girls that do a bit of everything and nothing in particular. Even physically they are similar. A big part of their lives is showing up at specific events, so that their clothes are scrutinized, i could go on and on...
Both need boyfriends that can be an asset to the "brand", Skarsgard clearly has a conflicted relation with the paps and the media, although i do not buy this "i'm a very private person anymore" , it still makes his decision of dating professional "it" girls quite baffling. I'm sure he can have his pick, he should already know what he's in for.

hmm, i think alexa has become more like what you describe since she moved to america. but here are some things i see as quite different. for example:

- alexa is and always has been about her friends. you always see her with them, everywhere, and she's always been like that, long before she was very famous, and she still hangs out with the same people.

- by contrast kate is always about her date. you hardly EVER see her out with friends or other girls.

- alexa may indeed be a "jack of all trades, master of none" as you imply; however, she knows a lot about culture and she's a music FAN. she doesn't just go to "festivals" to pose. she's very erudite talking about music or her style influences for that matter. i get the impression she's well read, or at least smart enough, if you know what i mean.

- i don't really see these qualities in kate, who, as far as i know, is an actress by trade. she just seems like more of a blank slate to me. she can definitely style herself, but speaking? writing? interviewing? not so much.

I agree with you that she became like this. The Alexa of Popworld bears absolutely no resemblance to the Alexa now. She became what she used to mercilessly fun of. That "it" book is just so bad and pretencious that it's hard to believe it's the same woman.

The same way Alexa is a "journalist" , Kate is an "actress", but basically they are socialites, It's their media image and good sense of style that is their bread and butter, no wonder they both are known to call the papz, they need it.
 
^ that's why many (me included) lost interest in alexa

she's not the person anymore, she's the brand :(
