Alexa Chung

Oh I didn't see it before.
Judging from that girl's height, there's a big chance it's Katie, and I say w00t.

Those cropped leather jackets have been outf or awhile now but I still adore them -hope they become a classic of sorts so it never goes out of fashion! Instantly gives oomph to an outfit (though it looks a little funny in the 2nd picture above).

I had an inkling that Alexa would pop up at the British Fashion Awards. Here's a couple more from WENN:

I like the dress. It looks good on her but it's not my favourite thing. It looks better with the leather jacket, it adds a bit of spice.
I love the Independent article. I guess now we know why she's not writing the Company article anymore. Independent Vs Company is not competition really.
At least she can write when she turns 26 and is sacked from her job.... but then what will she write about? It's my birthday soon and I really want a hand held blender too....but there is this vintage jacket that I'd prefer......if anyone who loves me's reading this :)

I Love her Dress  and is that a balenciaga biker jacket? probably not but i'm very jealous if it is!

i like the dress but only with the jacket. the colours of the print aren't that nice :(

I love that jacket. Not so crazy about those boots, but I can't really see them..

Elle TV video from last night, there's a few Alexa interview clips.

Alexa Chung in Mulberry
Alexa Chung teamed her boho babydoll with ankle boots, a skinny scarf and a Mulberry for Giles black patent clutch for the British Fashion Awards. We applaud her nonchalantly under-dressed attitude to the black tie affair — how very fashion.

The dress is Future Classics SS 09

am i the only one who doesnt like her dress ? but except for that detail, it goes well with the rest, as usual !

Alexa's not getting the best of reactions from The Independent readers. Here's a few examples...

Looking forward to old age, eh? Bet you can't wait til your Saturn return, only a few years away, then you'll be feeling a bit older! Can I *please* have a column in the Independent? I'm 28 with interesting things to say. Thanks.

How many talented 25-year-old journalists are there out there who would love to have a column in your paper - and yet you choose to publish this drivel? Shocking.

I'm a man who has also recently turned 25 and has also recently bought new shoes. Two pairs in fact. However, I differ insofar as I've set my sights on a long and illustrious career in hard news journalism, rather than guessing how old Sarah Harding is.

I also tend to prefer quoting grammatical errors rather than making errors of my own, such as this one: "… there are of aspects to growing old…" Can I have a job please?

I promise I'm not as smug in person as I am in this comment.

Why won't she mention Alex Turner? Does she not realise that her snagging of him is the only reason we even care for her?!

Good point, Melissa. My housemate was at a gig they were at and apparently she was all over him and he wasn't bothered.

Now that's news.
