I think that's more easily said that done - I've seen friends of mine who have quickly been thrust in the spotlight for their career and even if they're tough as nails they still get upset to find strangers slagging them off on the internet. Clearly Alexa is concerned of the image that she portrays and wanted to give her side of the story.

She seems to take every piece of criticism she gets online to heart. That's why she got a private twitter, because she spent all of her time defending herself from bitchy @ replies.

I know it must be hard to get used to but she needs to grow a backbone sharpish I think. Or just stop googling herself/reading every single negative message.

this one is private, there are only a few pics, so i guess it's real. there are many celebs on her friends list, and all of them have private accounts.
