Alexa Chung and MTV are still working together!
Alexa will front a new show for MTV

Alexa Chung's MTV show 'It's on with Alexa Chung' may well have been scrapped but according to sources close to the television presenter the star is to work on a different format for the American network.

The show has been a huge hit, attracting the likes of Cameron Diaz and Sienna Miller, and according to my Stateside mole MTV are working on a new concept with Alexa.

MTV are very happy with Alexa and are working with her on developing a new format for their younger viewers,' says my mole.

'She may be coming home for a short time over the Christmas holidays but is very happy in New York and has no plans to leave.'

When I contacted Alexa's publicist, Liz Matthews, she seemed to be singing from the same hymn sheet.

Liz said: 'Alexa is still under contract with MTV until next Spring and has no immediate plans to leave New York. They want to work on other formats for their youngest viewers.'
