It seems that Rimmel is sticking with Kate Moss, despite reports that they were planning to axe her for Alexa Chung. The cosmetics company has issued a statement, denying any plans to end Moss's contract.

"Kate remains the face of Rimmel London and will continue to appear in campaigns for the foreseeable future," said Rimmel spokeswoman Emmanuelle Bonte. "Rimmel London has no plans to replace Kate. We are very happy with the collaboration."

The Mirror reported last Friday that the supermodel would shortly be replaced by TV personality Alexa Chung. According to the article, Chung "wowed bosses in secret screen tests" which were also held for Agyness Deyn, Daisy Lowe and Lily Cole.

Sources revealed that Chung had made it onto shortlist, along with St Trinians star Gemma Arterton.

Despite denying such plans, Rimmel had previously considered terminating Moss's contract in 2005, when she was busted using cocaine.

Interestingly, Rimmel have declined to comment on whether Alexa Chung will soon be joining their camp.

Kate has been really great for Rimmel, but imo she will be replaced soon enough - simply because she is in her mid-thirties and Rimmel's products are aimed at a very young market.

I couldn't care less if Alexa gets the contract though, I think she looks her best with minimal make-up. Although it's a huge exaggeration, Alexa has said she looks like a "man in drag" with lots of make-up.

I completely agree with you. I had to turn the volume off when some of the "comedy" acts were performing Alexa wasn't the problem, it would be better if they rid of the so-called comedy segments and just focused on the interviews and music performances. Also, Alexa was so much taller than her co-host, it looked ridiculous racheyroo, I only saw one episode of Lily Allen's show, but I think it was actually better than this...

In other news, Alexa is hosting the L'oreal Awards in June and will be doing a DJ set at Bestival on the Isle of Wight in September.

Yes, I so noticed this, it looked so funny! She was literally a foot taller than him!
And yes, this is way worse than lily allens show, and that is saying something!

I just watched The Wall and I literally ended up fast forwarding through most of it.

The two presenters didn't seem to have any real chemistry and it was like they were trying really hard to be 'good friends' and 'crazy'. To be honest I thought this was the problem on popworld too, I'm not a fan of Alexa's presenting style I guess.
The comedy sketches were just terrible. Also, a lot of the stories Jonathan Ross told were recycled from his show.
