Oh god, the HQ pics only make me think this is a Project Runway gown gone wrong. It doesn't look like a custom dress at all. I hate the beading now I have gotten to see in detail. And those seams! The seaming make the gown look like a comforter she converted into a dress.

I didn't care for her Oscars dress but I think she's look pretty spectacular in LV this awards season. The white dress was stunning, the leather work dress was interesting and the glittery geometric dress was standout. It's just a shame she chose the biggest night to look like the biggest flop.

Congratulations on her win

I hated her dress. I really wanted to like it, and tried (or tried to try) to like it, but I just can't. It'd be subpar for a premiere, it's just bad for the Oscars. The colour isn't especially flattering on her, the beadwork is teetering on the line between boring and ugly, and the bubble hem (which should be interesting, as the only non-generic aspect of the dress) makes it look like a quilt

But her hair and makeup is lovely, her earrings are great and she looks radiant (and just won an Oscar!) so the dress doesn't matter much

She does look great at the after-party, sleek dress

I'm going to tell myself the Oscar was for Ex Machina, I don't condone category fraud (looking at you too, Rooney!)

It's a shame she ended up with this gown for the big one. I don't hate it as much as others, but I can't stand the hem.

Her after party look is much better, even if she's done sequins before.

I wasn't really into Alicia's style before award season begun - I found her in Louis Vuitton runway pieces a bit repetitive - but I have to say, I've loved most of her custom looks. She looked great at the GGs, and her SAG look will probably end up being my favourite award season look for this year. So I can't completely on Nicolas for this one.

I was really surprised to see her win, I didn't watch the movie but I was sure she wasn't going to win, but congrats to her, that's huge!
