Kris, I bought a bunch of catalogues with Alyssa in last week, they should be arriving tomorrow or Wednesday! They include the Speedy and Formit catalogues.. I'll take them into work and scan them as soon as they arrive.

Jeez I'm on a roll today.. was searching Alyssa on Google, and came across a Cadbury's Flake promo site I've seen before. It has a big picture of Alyssa, but this is obscured by annoying text boxes. Anyway, maybe it was the caffeine in my chai, but I ctrl-clicked and went to 'view background image', and hey presto - glorious close-up still of Alyssa from the ad!

Another article on Alyssa, published in the Sydney Telegraph a few weeks back. It answers my questions on where that Madison spread was shot, as I was sure it was done here but hadn't seen on the Chic site that Alyssa had been in the country - I check pretty regularly for updates, and she's always had that little red 'overseas' plane next to her name. She certainly did sneak in and out, then!

AUSTRALIAN supermodel Alyssa Sutherland is the envy of her genetically gifted peers, scoring two prestigious Chanel advertising campaigns in a matter of months.

The leggy beauty recently snuck into Sydney from her New York home for a Madison fashion shoot and to talk of her success.

"She really is at the top of her game," says her agent Kathy Ward from Chic Management. "It's certainly a long way from when I dragged her into a Westfield modelling competition."

Besides promoting Chanel's summer make-up collection and new foundation, which hits stores in October, Sutherland has become a sweet treat in London.

"She is the Flake girl in a television advertisement for Cadbury," Ward says.

So, do supermodels eat chocolate?

"I lost count of how many Flake bars I ate," Sutherland says of the shoot. "But since I love them, it was pretty much a dream job."

Acting is now Sutherland's primary focus as she moves on after the disappointment of seeing some of her scenes in The Devil Wears Prada end up on the cutting-room floor.

She appeared in Day On Fire opposite Olympia Dukakis as a Jewish model in love with a Palestinian journalist and has been auditioning for US pilots.

Men with very much humor!

What do you make in the spare time?

I read very much and go with my dog Harry in the cent ral park walking. And I am naturally moved after Shopping!

Their favourite labels?

Ann Demeulemeester. And I admire Christian Louboutin - these shoes are so beautiful! But I stöbere also gladly in Secondhandshops.

Which trend will you follow this summer?

The summer becomes very feminine with charmful dresses. Whereupon I am pleased! But I like also the classical period trend: One can always carry these parts without fashionable expiration date.

Describe your Style.

That depends on my tendency: Today I feel as Tomboy, tomorrow as Hippie. And in such a way I then also dress!

Did you have times a less pleasant order?

I had to posieren one night long at a street corner in Milan. It was bitter, and I carried only Dessous! This job was not really very spassig.

What do you always carry with itself?

Mean “iPod”, Bliss Lipbalm and Mascara of Dior.

How would you describe your role in the mode industry?

To ensure that precious dresses look good.
