i agree with you regarding her style generally. it's not consistent. it doesn't define her in any way.

MET Gala 2015

Thanks for posting! I love this dress but I have mixed feelings on Amal wearing it: IMO it's too avant garde for her generally classic style. Her hair and makeup look amazing though. Maybe it's because from the neck up her look is very old-school elegant compared to her dress? She looks lovely anyway, though.

I hope the forum doesn't mind if I upload some more HQ from the same event with different views of the dress, and George and her.

Calculated and overthought - hit the nail on the head. She tries a bit too hard with her style for me to be in love - not effortless enough.
