Amanda Moore

Almost a year ago, I watched an interview of Amanda on FTV.
She was backstage at some fashion show. She said that she was really sick, she was eating an orange to help her get well, but added that she shouldn't say that, and faked a big smile and said "I'm fiiine!".
She confessed that she was extemely worried because her brother was in Iraq, and that it was hard for her to think about fashion when all those things were happening around the world.
She also said that after her fashion carreer ended she wanted to go to college, because she believed she would find "her passion" there, something she would enjoy doing for the rest of her life.
That's all I remember from that interview. Of all the interviews I've watched on FTV, that was the most touching and honest.
Also, she has a tongue piercing, and she stuck out her tongue for the camera on every possible chance!

why once I've decided to like a model, do I find out she's an intelligent and interessing girl... and most of all she has almost quit modeling?!

anyway, she seems to have gained weight again during 2004 and in her latest pics she looks more healthy. what she said in the ftv interview about going to the college is not so far from what she said in the 2001 interview at the beginning of this thread. I only suggest Italian literature instead of law! ;)

Those pictures are really something! actually very sad...can't have a picture if there's nothing behind it and Amanda Moore is really good at portraying that kinda emotion. really i hope she's doing good...ya know physically and all that. living in the fashion world, being around so much superficial energy has to weigh people down, so it's good that she's doing what she wants, how she wants it

and that picture with the fur is so heartbreakingly beautiful, she's got that stone face..she can probably uproot a palm tree!

I agree with definitely guys......she does always give some type of emotions when ever I see one of her photographs. She is intellegent and interesting. You can see that just by looking at her.........I hear she even went to advance classes in High School.......which is cool in my book:p :woot:
I also hope she is doing ok............and working on herself.........making her self better:flower:

Get up against the wall and spread'em:lol:  ..................nah just kidding
(people don't take me too seriously........I'm a goofball:innocent: )

*starting to think how to get a scholarship in san francisco...*
you know, I've always believed in art meeting literature! ;)

Thanks, dimlat for the ftv recall. I hate that i don't get FTV. Are the FTV interviews available online? The only live interviews I've seen of Amanda are the Fashion File and bthere (The one with Carolyn Murphy was cute.)

San Francisco Rocks!! B)

...speaking about temptations... B)

anyway, what are «advance classes in High School»? I'm not very expert in American school education.

I agree. Probably because I was a supposed nerd too! And I never was a cheerleader! ;)

But she didn't get any degree, did she?

It may be different from state to state but I think that's the basic premise. Anyway, from the 2001 article I think Amanda was a nerd in school.

QUOTE]

Being A nerd is better than being a cheerleader.. :D ,but being intelligent and paying once attention in class is better than being studying a lot for a test ;)

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being smart. It's just funny to me because before reading those articles, I would not imagine her running home from school to do homework or spending a lot of time in the library. Especially since she was a ball player.

haha good point!! most of the time they are the seniours from the same school, nice cute "beatnick" girls, wearing cute haircuts and cat's eye shape shades, that like to listen to power pop and 90's brit pop :D ;)

Oh, those cute beatniks with their corduroy, stripe shirts and Ginsberg poetry! I used to run with a couple of them when i was younger, they're very beautiful people but they can get to be too stoic and serious.
and a few of my friends attend the Art Institute in SF...I hear good things but as with all Art schools it can be too restrictive..but Art is always a great route to go anyway! and SF has to be the cleanest city ive ever been in...and if anyone is in SF they must make a stop at the City Lights Bookstore...best bookstore ive ever been to.
