and that is because Amanda herself is so uncommonly open about her sexuality. Amanda does interviews in The Fashion Wire (about the New York club scene), the New York observer (an article about Showtime's lesbian series) goes public with ex- girlfriend Kate Young in the New York Metro with a cover story "sexiest New York Couples" and shoot a photo shoot together for fashion magazine iD! and don't forget the sensationalist headline in the New York Post "Lesbian Beauty Strikes Back (Amanda Moore punched out a man who's been making time with her girlfriend the other night) That she is a model is one thing but that she is so open about being queer and make the choice to go public... people react to this! especialy because she is a model. Remember modeling is just a job! But if you choose to go public than there is gossip!

Well yeah Tatrel she may do all of that but (we are violating TFS policies) Because we are not exactly on the topic of Amanda Moore 'the model' but rather the model sexual choices... I mean come one out of curiosity if you type in 'sex' in the search bar her name is the the number one search result...For an underrated model her homosexuality is overrated.

okay, back to the topic, to amanda as a model.

I think that in the August 2003 I-D editorial she did something extraordinary as a model, although I don't like all of those pictures. it was one of the peaks in her career. it's really a pity that she is so underrated and hasn't had the impact she deserved. but it's also good not to be so mainstream and to have a collateral cult by those who can understand her value and role as a model with personality, charisma and honesty.
I remember a video of hers. when asked what makes a model, she answered: "personality. work on personality". in fact she has an unique personality, in my opinion there's no other model who can be compared to her and it's always a pleisure to talk about a so interesting topic like her personality as a model.

Ah! Speaking of the iD layout... the diversity of being a successful working model Amanda is....you see her from casual attire and she FITS the part to sophistication (when she was on the couch w/ K. Young with her hair slicked back)... if you're observant you can see the transformation and she carries it well. I do not think many models (major ones) can pull that kind of convincing transformation like Amanda. In fact, they don't actually. IF you have an artist eye you'd know what I mean. The photographer only helps with capturing the mood but the model makes the mood (convincingly). B)

overrated may be true
but upset no, I only wanted to make a point. what I meant was; if you are so open about your sexuality and go public, people wil react to that. They forget about her being this "fashion model" and think only about her being gay. (just like me )
