Amanda Seyfried

It's really annoying because she is talented.

The jury's still out on that, IMHO.

In all honesty, I really like Amanda, not so much as an actress than as a model. I think she's incredibly pretty and photogenic and has the most gorgeous eyes and hair, but as an actress I've found her wanting. She's by no means the worst around, only she isn't really the best, either. Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, Carey Mulligan et al are streets ahead of Amanda.

Amanda hasn't really hasn't had the opportunity to shine in a dramatic (or even comedic) lead like those three have. I guess the closest to came to doing that was in Jennifer's Body. Or even Chloe. But of course, the material held her back.

I saw In Time yesterday and unfortunately I don't think it will do much to help her case. It seems that her team accepts every leading role she's offered. Sometimes its better to take a supporting role in a great film than to get top-billing in a mediocre one. She definitely suffers in comparison to her peers in terms of her lack of range. Honestly, I don't see her in the same tier as Jennifer Lawrence, Carey Mulligan and Emma Stone. To me she's in that second tier of young actresses with the likes of Selena Gomez, Blake Lively and Emma "Nepotism" Roberts.

I think that the main problem is that Amanda belongs to very active acting generation: Carey Mulligan, Felicity Jones, Scarlett Johansson, Keira Knightley, Olivia Wilde, Freida Pinto, Isabel Lucas, Rooney Mara, Anna Kendrick, Leighton Meester, Amber Heard, Kat Dennings, Evan Rachel Wood, Blake Lively, etc — all those girls are almost the same age as Amanda. Some of them are really talented (like Carey or Felicity), others have good publicity (like Blake or Olivia) or breakout roles (like Rooney or Freida). That's not easy to compete with all of them.

^Very true. This is a very hard time to be a 20-something actress. There are so many talented girls vying for a few good parts.

^ Haha, I'm with you.

I know the extra short-shorts were meant to flatter her legs, but mostly they just look poorly constructed and awkward; the jacket also bunches strangely. Not a good look.

Just watched 'In Time', her hairstyle (although just a wig) is absolutely gorgeous.

I don't understand why her wonderful legs look so strange in those shorts, unfair!

I must say she's got great legs.
Quite like her H&M ensemble.

Her legs are to die for! Tone and lean but unfortunately those shorts are unflattering and I'm not liking the colour as well but nevertheless her face is sublime!

thanks for the pics catherine:flower:
she looks gorgeous, i'll never get over how beautiful her hair is:heart:

^I know right! I have serious hair envy when it comes to this girl. It always looks so full and healthy.

The blue looks really good on her but the dress isn't very flattering, it's making her waist disappear and giving her a stomach she doesn't have.
