i am doing the shows here in NYC as well I am getting my hair cutt tomorrow and dyed to get ready for the shows.. i have been taking runway leassons so hopefully it will pay off.

WOW. I have seen her photos on here and though while stunning, I thought she was your usual 50s pinup looking glamazon. Then I saw the very first post in this thread and was blown away. To be able to do edgy androgyny is really my standard bar.

Amber, when do the castings for shows like Marc Jacobs start?

I remember reading somewhere that last spring, they had like 150 girls on hold for MJ, and that smaller designers were freaking out cause they couldn't get models for their shows, since nobody wanted to pass up Marc....heck, if i was a model, i wouldn't pass up Marc either

So how does it work exactly? Do you go to the casting and they call you? or do you find out right away Sorry to bother you, just curious

I went to the marc casting its a request casting.. but I dunno lots of designers put girls on hold till the day before then take them off.. I know I am on hold for prada and miu miu which I probably wont get, but oowell its still cool. but most of the casting you just get to go to and just try your luck.. I am such a dork fashion week makes me soo on edge and nervous, but this is my first year and I am just going to go in there and try my best and see what happens.
