but shes an adult so shes responsible for herself in every aspect - in everything from her fashion choices to her choice in friends ... so does that mean we shouldn't comment on her at all? Kinda negates the purpose of a forum...

Totally agree. I've never really understood the appeal of Pete, he always looks ill and so dirty (thats a nice way of putting it) - not that Amy has been looking much better recently, but I think that she is such an immense talent that it make its easier to overlook her problems (not that thats necessarily a good thing though) - he just seems like such a bad influence.

u cant blame her parents or Pete or whoever for her behaviour...
and for the record, if Pete is such a bad influence, why didnt she clean up while he was in jail for the past 4 weeks

LOL well yes that's not too terrific at the moment....In all honesty I hope she gets herself better, but I just like the photos of her looking like a trainwreck.

um maybe you missed the point of my post ...
you posted "no 'stay away from Pete' comments pls...this woman is responsible for herself, no one else is...". My point is so what if shes responsible for herself, does that mean we aren't allowed to comment on elements of her life that we may not agree with (which may be her choice of friends including Pete)?
And I didn't say I blame Pete for her behaviour, I said he was a bad influence ... Amy is the one who makes her decision to live her life the way she does no one else ... but lets be honest hanging out with *** hardly helps the cause

well i guess she should get rid of Blake then because i think hes a bigger problem than Pete and shes so dependent on him, thats what makes the difference...Amy doesnt depend on Pete but she does depend on Blake
her choice of friends has nothing to do with comments on her style
but yeah both Pete and Blake have been in jail and out of reach for the past few weeks, she couldnt 'hang out' with them.... and she is still in a bad state or even in a worse state...
so as u said...she makes her own decisions...bad influences or not

...the point wasn't even about Blake ... I'm not trying to pinpoint one person and claim that they are the reason Amy does what she does (although I think its fair to say that Blake has probably played a very big part), I was merely pointing out that seeing pictures of her in that state with Pete, someone who is struggling with similar battles, gives the impression that she is nowhere near the road to recovery yet.

and btw I didn't say that her style and her choice of friends are directly linked, i'm just saying that if you think we shouldn't make 'stay away from pete' comments because she is responsible for herself, then we might as well not comment on anything about her at all because shes responsible for herself in all aspects of her life ... basically you can't try to censor peoples remarks just because you do not agree with what they are saying or because you are a fan of someone they have negative feelings towards.

well truth is, we shouldnt comment on her life-style at all anyway but saying 'stay away from Pete' is just ridiculous to me, people should think before they speak...they might as well just say 'move to the countryside, lock urself away and speak to no one'
doesnt have anything to do with me being a fan of Pete (and im only a fan of his music, not of his lifestyle) because even if i wasnt that would still be my opinion

Following news that she will not face charges over a video showing her allegedly smoking crack, Amy Winehouse was in full celebration mode last night.
The singer could hardly walk while leaving her Camden home as she stumbled on a parked car, holding herself up on a nearby wall at around 1:30 AM in the morning.
The singer was the snapped jumping into a waiting car where she inexplicably waited for a few minutes, before heading back to her flat.
She then reappeared half an hour later wearing a different outfit and joined by new best chum Pete Doherty, who was covering his face à la Michael Jackson.
Amy was well on her way to a career comeback following a stint in rehab and a slew of Grammy wins, but in recent the often-in-trouble soulstress has been regressing to her old habits.
Blame Pete!!
