Thieves broke into singer Amy Winehouse's flat while she was on holiday in St Lucia, police confirmed today.
The padlocked front door of her Camden flat was kicked in and £15,000 worth of guitars and music recording equipment was taken in the raid.
Her spokesperson said she was 'disappointed' by the loss but 'relieved' that she had her favourite guitar with her on the Caribbean island.
Police secured the flat and carried out forensic tests. A spokesman said: 'No arrests have been made.'

'Now she will have to start from scratch to replace what has been stolen.'
Police were called to the address in Camden, north London to reports of two men forcing their way into the property in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Officers arrived to find the front door had been kicked in and property taken.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said that 'a number' of the stolen items had been recovered but would not discuss further details.
He said: 'The premises were secured and are now being forensically examined. The property was unoccupied.'
Amy has no immediate plans to return to London and has instead extended her stay at the luxury resort.
She has even been inspired to start working again, according reports.
The 25-year-old is in the throes of a divorce from her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, following his release from jail late last year.

Many people say that she had lost her voice because of her addiction. But she sounds really good on this video! I hope she will be able to record new album soon.

MARLOWE TIGER, I was just about to post that :) I feel sorry for poor Amy.

AMY WINEHOUSE - WINEHOUSE HANDS CONTROL OF FORTUNE TO PARENTS

Troubled singer AMY WINEHOUSE has reportedly handed control of her $21 million (£15 million) fortune over to her parents. The Rehab hitmaker has been enjoying a sunshine break in St. Lucia since December (08) following numerous health problems throughout 2008, which included a stint in rehab and several prolonged stays in hospital.
The star has been known to spend recklessly in the past - but in a bid to keep a reign on her vast earnings, she is now said to have signed over controlling rights of her money to parents Mitch and Janis.
It means that Winehouse cannot make any major business decisions concerning her company, Cherry Westfield, without consulting them first.
A source tells Britain's Sunday Mirror newspaper, "Everyone is pleased because it means Amy is listening to good advice. It's still her money and nobody else can touch it. But this stops her doing anything stupid. And it is evidence that Amy is really turning her life around."
The singer reportedly signed documents which give her parents "articles of association", handing them shares in her company and voting rights that could restrict her actions.
The source adds, "Mitch convinced Amy she needs a safety valve for the money for her own good - to stop her doing anything rash. She can be very impetuous and the family wanted to protect her. She cannot make a sudden decision.
"Her dad wad also worried she might be tempted to go back to (her jailed husband) Blake (Fielder-Civil) - and put him in charge. That is now impossible. This would never have happened before, certainly not when she was with Blake. It's her money and nobody else can touch it. But she can't do anything stupid."

AMY WINEHOUSE takes a horse ride on a beach in St. Lucia.

The songbird, who has now spent three months on the paradise isle, passed an idyllic afternoon in the saddle with friends.
But the 24-year-old's peace could soon be shattered as the owners of her favourite pub have begun searching for property on the Caribbean island.
The team behind The Hawley Arms are planning to open an outpost on the sun-drenched holiday destination and have been viewing buildings there recently.
They intend to create a luxurious member's club which would house an exclusive bar, hotel rooms and also a recording studio.
An insider told The Sun: “The management team behind The Hawley have plans to turn it into a global franchise.
“It's made its reputation from being the watering-hole of choice for rockers in London.
“And now they're keen to expand overseas.
“They're determined to turn it into the must-go destination for jet-setting rockers.”
The Hawley Arms is located in Camden, North London, a walking distance from the Grammy-winner's former home.
Bands such as RAZORLIGHT, THE KOOKS and BABYSHAMBLES – as well as celebs KATE MOSS, SADIE FROST and NOEL FIELDING – have been regular visitors there.
The hostelry suffered a devastating fire in February 2008 and re-opened, after extensive renovations, in October the same year.

Amy Winehouse's estranged husband leaves prison... as singer continues her single life in the Caribbean

on 26th February 2009
Amy Winehouse's estranged Blake Fielder-Civil has been released from jail for the second time.
Despite rumours the troubled singer is hoping to reconcile with him, the 26-year-old insisted he still planned to divorce his famous wife as he left prison yesterday.
Blake was jailed in November 2007 for assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice and was sentenced to 27 months behind bars last July.

World's apart: Blake Fielder-Civil is now in rehab after leaving prison, while his estranged wife Amy Winehouse, pictured on Sunday, is in sunny St Lucia

Last November, he was given permission to leave jail early on the condition he went to rehab, but was returned to custody after failing a d**g test a few weeks later.
Blake walked free from Edmunds Hill Prison in Suffolk yesterday and was greeted by his mother Georgette Civil before going to a rehab centre.
Speaking about his impending divorce to Amy, Blake said: 'It’s all going ahead - but I don’t really know what will happen.
'It’s just nice to be on the outside again. Now I am going to get over my drug habit.'
When asked by MailOnline about reports Amy was planning to return to England next week, the singer's spokesperson had no comment.
Meanwhile, his wife of 21 months is a world away as Blake adjusts to life as a free man.
The Back To Black star has been holidaying on the Caribbean island of St Lucia since Christmas and has reportedly told pals she never wants to come back.
During her extended holiday, the front door of her Camden, north London flat was kicked in and £15,000 worth of guitars and music recording equipment was stolen.

In the saddle: Amy gives a young friend a lift during a ride on the beach
Thankfully the star had her favourite guitar with her when the break-in occurred.

Thousands of miles away from all that, the Grammy Award winner has been seen riding barefoot along the beach, cradling puppies and larking around with children.
While on the island she has also enjoyed a holiday romance with 21-year-old hunk Josh Bowman, who has since left St Lucia.
Photographers of Amy cuddling Josh prompted her husband to file for divorce.
Amy is said to be so taken with the island that she is looking for a permanent base there.
Since arriving in December she has been spotted relaxing on sun-kissed beaches and taking trapeze and yoga lessons.
She no longer looks gaunt and haunted, and appears tanned and healthy.
However there were also reports that the 25-year-old singer, who has famously battled drug and alcohol addictions in the past, continued to drink heavily while on the island.

Guests at a hotel she stayed at were said to have complained about her behaviour.

Following the reports, the Back To Black singer’s father, Mitch, flew out to St Lucia and moved his daughter to a private villa.
Her mother Janis Winehouse said recently: 'Amy's in a really good place at the moment. She is eating well and has put on some weight, which I'm really pleased about.
'She's also been doing so much out there to clear her head, like taking long walks and doing horse riding. She has no plans to come home right now and definitely doesn't want to go back to Camden.
'The divorce proceedings are still going ahead, but her dad Mitch deals with that side of things.'

Amy Winehouse jets back to London after two month holiday... as mother-in-law hits out at 'cheating' singer

on 01st March 2009

Amy Winehouse jetted back to London this morning after her two month 'holiday' in St Lucia.
The troubled singer arrived at London's Gatwick Airport looking distressed and jetlagged after the nine hour flight.
In contrast to the shorts, bikini top and naturally curly hair Amy had been sporting in the Caribbean, the star was back in her London pop star guise in skin jeans, ballet shoes and her signature beehive and heavy eyeliner.

Back to Blighty: Amy Winehouse was back in her signature ballet shoes and wearing her beehive extensions as she arrived at Gatwick on Sunday

Her miserable appearance at Gatwick comes just hours after she was photographed happy and smiling in the Caribbean sun as she larked around in a pair of flippers.
Amy's return to Britain comes just days after her estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil was released from jail.
The 25-year-old singer is said to want to give their marriage another try, despite the former music video assistant insisting divorce proceedings are still going ahead.
His mother Georgette Civil said Blake has been 'hurt and humiliated' by Amy and claims she cheated on him twice during his spell behind bars.
Georgette tells The People: 'He feels very let down by his wife and he's proceeding with a divorce,
'Amy has behaved like a trollop. Since his release there has been no contact.
'Blake realised the marriage was doomed some time ago and I don't believe Amy will get round him now.
'I never want him to go back to her. It would be bad news. He's divorcing her because she cheated on him and the sooner the marriage is over the better.'

Love interest? Blake has been linked to German model Sophie Schandorff

In an interview last month, Amy admitted she had 'forgotten' she was even married.
She said: 'Our whole marriage was based on drugs anyway. He looks like me - a right mess. Almost every time I slept with him it was like I was dead.'
After Amy was photographed cuddling up to handsome Josh, 21, she admitted she had a romance with him.
Shortly after Amy was pictured with Josh, Blake started divorce proceedings on the grounds of adultery.
Her father Mitch Winehouse said: 'I had to call Amy before she heard about it from someone else. She asked me, "Daddy, why does he want to divorce me?"
'I said, "You know I don't like him, but I have to admit that your behaviour with another man is not what marriage is all about."'
Georgette has denied reports Blake is now dating German model Sophie Schandorff, 22, after she was spotted with him outside a Suffolk prison last week.
Sophie has been a regular visit to Blake in prison and often attended his court hearings when Amy wasn't there.
Georgette insisted Sophie and Blake were just close friends, saying: 'Blake's been a bad lad when it comes to drugs but he hasn't once cheated on Amy.
'But he's not got another woman - absolutely not. The last thing he wants right now is another relationship. All Amy's done is cause him grief.'
Blake was jailed in November 2007 for assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice and was sentenced to 27 months behind bars last July.

Happier times: Amy and Blake at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards

Last November, he was given permission to leave jail early on the condition he went to rehab, but was returned to custody after failing a d**g test a few weeks later.
Blake walked free from Edmunds Hill Prison in Suffolk on Thursday and was greeted by his mother Georgette and Sophie, before going to her Claypole, Lincolnshire home.
Speaking about his impending divorce from Amy, Blake said: 'It’s all going ahead - but I don’t really know what will happen.
'It’s just nice to be on the outside again. Now I am going to get over my drug habit.'
Amy and Blake married in Florida in May 2007, just weeks after she dumped live-in boyfriend Alex Claire.
After Blake's arrest in November, it means the couple have spent just six months of their 21 month marriage together.

Amy Winehouse shows off her healthier complexion and sun-kissed freckles

on 05th March 2009

After a relaxing two-month holiday in the Caribbean, Amy Winehouse is looking healthier than she has done in years. :woot:
The skin on her face that was in such an atrocious condition before her St Lucia break is looking smooth and she's even got a couple of freckles on her nose.B)
If ever there was an advert for the benefits of a few vitamin D-filled rays of sunshine, then Amy was it as she went to buy some sweets near her new home in Barnet today.

Back to health: Amy Winehouse shows off her freckles obtained from her Caribbean holiday as she shops for sweets in Barnet, Herts
The 25-year-old was the picture of ill health before her escape and if she can stay clean of drugs - and some might argue her estranged husband - she may well have turned a corner.
With her female bodyguard in tow, Amy drove to a newsagent near her plush ?1.4million pad to indulge her sweet tooth.
At the height of her drug addiction last year, the Rehab singer was regularly spotted leaving her local cornershop in Camden in the middle of the night clutching bags full of sweets.
Usually she was to be seen staggering around in a semi-conscious state but it was the marks on her face that caused so much concern - at times, her face appeared to be literally falling off.

Sweet tooth: The singer peruses confectionery in the cornershop
On Sunday, happily, it was a different story after some gymnastics, aerobics and horse-riding in the Caribbean.
She clearly enjoyed her time out there and despite the odd picture of her crawling across the floor and begging for drinks - with a few romantic rumours thrown in - she was generally in good spirits.
Upon her return, Amy moved from Camden, north London to a new home in Barnet, not far from where her mother Janis lives.
Her new gated property is just a few miles from Southgate, where she grew up.
Amy's parents Mitch and Janis are hoping her new life in the suburbs will keep her away from the crazy party lifestyle she led in Camden, and that no doubt contributed to her ill health.
Fans meanwhile will be hoping she starts to produce some more music of the quality that saw her burst onto the scene with Back To Black.
Her return to Britain comes just days after her estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil was released from jail.
The singer is said to want to give their marriage another try, despite the former music video assistant insisting divorce proceedings are still going ahead.

I love the way she's got her classic look back, beehive and all. beautiful amy.

She looks great - she should spend half the year working hard, and the other half on extended holiday in the sun, it seems to do great things for her, and allows her to indulge herself in safer ways.
