Andres Azubel

Thanks for creating a thread on this new designer, jhaime

In general gives a feeling of simple 'smart dressing' :p
A lot of great textured knits and some interesting embellishments, details
I also like the use of sheer fabrics

He has a good presentation on his myspace,
with the inspiration polaroids
I was thinking his choice of music doesn't match though ^_^ once I turned on my speakers
I was expecting something toned down

very nice collars

They look asif they're a combination between a waistcoat & cummerbund??? don't hold me to that.

Interesting you mention smart dressing...it seems to be Matthew Murphy's grooming policy at Bstore once he takes on the CSM or RCA graduates. It's a similar story with Carola Euler...if you look at Andres' first collection, it's rock & indie/grunge inspired, with lots of leather & checkered shirts, skinny denim & so on...Carola Euler was never as refined or dandy as we see now judging by her graduate collection.

Does make you wonder if they're going in a particular direction to find success at Bstore, or because they actually want to evolve with that particular aesthetic...
