So sad she wasn't at Versace, all the supers were there. She'd look fabulous in one of the dresses!

Anja Rubik Gives Us a Sneak Peek at Her Outfits for “Project Runway Poland” Season Two

Anja Rubik isn’t only a world-class model, the founder and editor of the erotic magazine 25, and the maker of a just-launched perfume dubbed Original. She’s also the host and a judge on Project Runway Poland, the second season of which is set for a March 3 debut. In between modeling gigs, Rubik has been filming in Warsaw. She takes the job seriously, calling in the clothes she wears on the show herself, and crafting each episode’s outfit with a lot of care and thought, sometimes matching her look to the particular week’s project, other times wearing clothes quite close to her own personal style (expect to see lots of Anthony Vaccarello and Saint Laurent), and occasionally going utterly over-the-top in haute couture.

“The idea of fashion is something quite new in Poland and the interest in the show is huge,” Rubik told Style.com. “There are so many young, talented people who really have no way of breaking through. It is still a very young industry. And the people who are on the TV show, they are immediately recognized by the whole country, everyone knows their names, so they start building their business with a huge advantage.” It definitely won’t hurt season two competitor Michal Zielinski’s career when Rubik wears his sheer jumpsuit in one of the show’s later episodes. She spoke with us over the phone about her wardrobe process, and shared the personal behind-the-scenes pics you’ll find in the slideshow.

Saint Laurent men's jacket, scarf, and jeans; Magda Butrym belt; T by Alexander Wang T-shirt

"Someone might think it's not very TV, it doesn't have much spark. But I wanted to show my personality and this is something I would wear day-to-day. I love jeans, they're a very big thing for me. I like several brands. I like BLK DNM, their more high-waisted styles, but I always take them a little short because when they are higher-waisted, I like when they finish at the ankle. I think Frame is doing a really good job, as well, and Saint Laurent is good if you want really, really low-waisted jeans. That jacket is actually from Saint Laurent's men's line. I asked Hedi [Slimane] to send it because this season I'm actually really inspired by his men's stuff. I steal a lot of men's things, not only from my husband's wardrobe, but from the runways. I look at the men's shows and I'm like, 'Oh, that's so good, I hope they have it in a small size.' With Saint Laurent, since they pick the skinniest young boys for their runways, I am like, 'Oh, good, I can take all their stuff.'"

Anthony Vaccarello

"Anthony and I were introduced by a mutual friend. I went to his apartment in Paris, and he had a few pieces that he made and some images of his stuff. And, you know, it was so small and tiny and it was just him and his boyfriend and I just fell in love. You know he is quite a shy person, but at the same time he knows exactly what he likes and what he doesn't like. I think for a young designer, that is the most important thing. If you don't have a statement, no one will recognize you. I said, 'You have to do a show,' and he was like, 'Really?' And I was like, 'Yeah, I'm going to be in it and then other people will be in it and you're going to have major people on board.' It was just a bunch of people who really believed in his talent and really supported him. A few weeks later I was invited to the Met ball, and I was going with Eddie Borgo, who designs jewelry, so I had the choice to pick my dress and I called Anthony and I said, 'You know, you have to design my dress for the Met ball because I am going,' and back then he only designed in black, no color, no gray—gray was a very intense color for him. And I said, 'But the thing is, I really want my dress to be white,' and he said, 'Oh, I don't know,' but then he sent me a few sketches and he designed that white dress with the really open leg. That dress was in every magazine almost around the world. I remember being on location and picking up a little magazine that wasn't even about fashion and there was my picture in that dress. And I think that dress really put him on the map in a way, and people started to recognize him and recognize his name. People started to copy him, as well. A lot of dresses suddenly had very high cuts after that dress."

Balmain suit dress; Eddie Borgo earnings

"I put it on and everyone asked me, 'Where are your pants?' Everyone said, 'What are you wearing on the bottom?' And I said, 'No, that's it.'"

Roberto Cavalli suit

"You can't really see in this picture, but the cut of the pant is really, really good. It goes slightly bell-shaped from the knee down, but it's not too extreme. And since a lot of my looks are—well, maybe not a lot, but some are minimal, I wanted to show the designers on the show that excessive print, if it's done the right way, can look really cool."

Saint Laurent men's jacket, dress, and boots; Eddie Borgo jewelry

"I really love what Hedi has been doing. I think at the beginning, the first show, everyone was in shock and there was a lot of talk whether we liked it or we didn't like it. But at the end of the day, everyone wants to be young. And everyone looks at these girls and they say, 'Oh, how will that speak to an older woman?' But everyone wants to be young and those girls are really cool. So yeah, I think he is doing a great job. I want to be that girl from that show. I said last season, you know, it's like you want to be that kind of disturbed, young rock-and-roll chick. Or a girl who has her style."

Versus jacket, shirt, and pants; Repossi ring; Anthony Vaccarello shoes; Shaun Leane earrings

"I own that jacket, I love it. And the fit of those pants are insane, they are so well cut."

Mariusz Przybylski shirt and coat; Giuseppe Zanotti shoes

"This is a young Polish designer. On the show I wear clothes by all these designers from abroad, but I wanted to show cool Polish designers, as well."

Anthony Vaccarello dress

"I just loved this collection with the big letters. It goes back to what Helmut Lang used to do. The fit is really good when you put them on. And of course there is the element of them being not symmetric, which I like as well."

Anthony Vaccarello shirt; Zana Bayne harness; Versus pants; Gianvito Rossi shoes

"Zana Bayne makes her leather harnesses by hand. I thought this would be quite interesting to show that you can have a very simple outfit, very basic, but you can tweak it in a very cool way with an element like a harness over it. And what is amazing is that her line is so well done and these are all very affordable pieces. I think the prices start from—I think you can get a harness for, like, $200, which is really nothing."

Ralph & Russo Haute Couture

"The designers' challenge on this episode was haute couture, so I wanted to wear something very extreme."

La Mania

"La Mania is actually a Polish label, but they're selling right now everywhere abroad. It's a brand that is growing really fast."

Michal Zielinski

"This is actually from one of the designers in the show who made it for the runway competition. He didn't win that episode, but I actually really loved that look, so I wanted to wear it for the next episode. I wouldn't say it made the other competitors jealous; it was just to give them some motivation to do better."
