Anja: what you want me to tell you? What answer would be good? I’ve got a pair of good legs after my muther and I like them. That’s all.

i guess this is the part where anja lifted her legs, and i had conjectured from the pictures that they were checking if there was gum stuck underneath her shoes

anyway, i think she was entertaining the crowd much of the time and being a good guest, although it was still fun and anja has a great attitude

lastly, while joking in nature and quickly shot down by anja herself, the opening part of the interview, which quickly reminds us of the monumental contributions poles made to musical, scientific and political humanities, nevertheless challenges me to think hard about what it takes for a girl to be famous for her beauty. for historically women famous for beauty are famous, in fact, primarily for and through their association with (still more) famous men. by this line of reasoning, most likely a number of women still more beautiful than the renowned beauties slipped into historical obscurity, and the only chance anja can escape that obscurity and avoid the hapless company of the beautiful but eclipsed and eventually rival the reputations of a chopin and a copernicus is almost certainly a good marriage to a personality many, many orders of magnitude bigger than sasha (and many, many orders of magnitude bigger than the bonos and lagerfelds of the world). if anja’s fidelity and love barred this, i am hard pressed right now to come up any precedents where a woman achieves immortality on her own right. the one example i can immediately think of right now is marie curie, the name of whose husband i cannot even recall (that is surely a sign of her greatness, ha!) and she was a pole! maybe this is a sign of polish women’s extraordinary character and superiority: all the polish girls - anja, anna, kasia, malgosia - are beautiful in different ways but all possess a distinctly strong jaw and the appearance of a fearsomely independent soul. perhaps starting from her painting skills and the creative directorship at 25 anja will one day be a revolutionary force for art and accomplish what curie did for sciences - and one day history will remember sasha rubik as a very gorgeous and handsome man

apologies in advance for the long paragraph: those random thoughts were spurred by the gravest concern that a thousand years from now my admiration for anja might strike people then as trivial, which is unbearable for me. also, those who know me here know that my fervent polonophilia is bound to flare up every once in a short while

i read the whole interview, and anja sounds to be a person conscious of who she really is, i mean, she's not excessively modest, she knows her assets, but she's everything but contemptuous. plus she must be very calm (yoga i guess ) because if i had been in her place, i wouldn't have been that poised, you know, when the interviewer talked about her being anorexic, or her breasts.. so clumsy -.-"

Yeah, I just watched it and got the same vibe from her. She's certainly confident, but not arrogant. She definitely acts her age, I liked watching the interview.
